I always thought you need the heat to be able to "mould" your hair into a style and then cool sets it? I dunno I just sleep with a towel on my head!

This is the rule I go by, though I know the cold air must be better for my hair. Usually I do a mix of both cold and hot air, with mostly the latter, and then finish with a blast of cold to "set" my hair. Using only cold air makes the process take about twice as long, so I do this only when I have extra time.
