Models Switching Agencies

Seriously, i always thought that Taylor Kramer, R'el Dade and Alisa M (as cute as she is) are just fillers. I don't think that Marilyn is a bad agency, but i think that they have some problems with scouting. But I've heard that R'el wants to go the high end commercial route.

^^Agree, to me it seems that Women, IMG & DNA are the ones that really provide long-term careers, or am I wrong ?

I've noticed in recent times that Marilyn has no problem with getting a girl to the top, but they haven't produced many models with high fashion longevity. I can only think of Caroline Trentini, who is now with Women. R'el Dade and Taylor Kraemer were bright stars for the S/S 2010 shows but this past season they weren't booking the same kind of shows. I really hope I'm wrong but Lindsey Wixson seems very hyped up and that often doesn't result in a long lasting career. We'll see what they can do with Eniko, Constance, and Liu because they seem to have a lot going for them.

Caroline Trentini and Lily Dondaldson were both developed from the ground up by the team at Marilyn, both leaving to IMG. Caroline has now moved to Women.

Taylor Kraemer has size 12 feet and isn't "worth it" for designers to custom make shoes to have her walk in their shows, hence her lack of runway appeal thus lack of editorial and campaign appearances. As for R'el, my impression was that she wasn't long for the high fashion modelling world, attitude wise. Gorgeous girl but far too aloof and uninterested to make anyone ELSE interested in her.

You can't discount Eniko, Liu Wen and Constance.. not to mention Adriana Lima, Ai Tominaga, Angelika, Anya K, Arlenis, Brooklyn Decker, Caroline Ribiero, Cinta Dicker, Emanuela De Paula, Erin Heatheron, Hanna Rundlof, Iekeleine, Irina Lazareneau, Lindsay Wixon, Julia Dunstall, Masha Novoselova and Tiiu. Chantal, Bo, Gwen, Josefin, Kristina, Renata, Simona, Tetyana and Yulia are all very promising new faces..

Ah, too bad for Olga. She is such a beautiful girl, but I guess her time has passed ..

Well she was originally with ONE no? Maybe she is looking for more attention, WOMEN is a big pool of big fish, maybe NYMM can restart her career. Different agencies for different girls, its not necessarily a bad move, plus they have plenty of good girls on their board (Sigrid, Patricia, Anastasija, Melissa)

Olga can switch her agency all she wants, she's out and her time with Marc Jacobs and Steven Meisel has already passed by, she had her days and shouldn't try so hard to be back on top, it wouldn't work out anyway.
She should change some things about her look (you know what i mean), and spend some time in Asia, make good money, build a market, do high end commercial and enjoy life. :innocent:

Olga did the worse mistake ever! that's like trading a Prada campaign for a Baby Phat campaign.

she never really got bigger things in Women than what she had in One, and did not get anythig big in women for months...

so, to stay in women in booking nothing (with probably a booking team who start to give up to try...) sounds better to you than to try somewhere else?

But that assumes Olga has those choices, I think it is more like trading a long shot at a Prada campaign for a decent chance at Baby Phat campaign, but hey a girl's gotta eat, well actually not really...

It seems like NYMM has made a lot of headway in getting runway gigs for their models and that seems to be where most of Olga's recent activity has been - I am not 100% sure about that, since I don't follow her closely. If NYMM can do for Olga what it's been doing for Sigrid in recent months, wouldn't that be an improvement? In addition to Sigrid's runway track record improving in both quality and quantity, hasn't she scored some decent campaign work? I know that there are multiple factors in Sigrid's career track, but it seems like Sigrid and Olga share some of these factors.

why are so many girl leaving women for minor agencies  ? could theyve been kicked out  ?

I wouldn't call Elite Paris a minor agency, just check out their editorial/show bookings lately. Then, yes it's an interesting move and no, she hasn't been kicked out ^_^

Yulia Kharlapanova did extremely well on the runways since her first season (SS09), but i don't know any model with such a major lack of money jobs + she did never archieve any magazine covers/ big editorials. Her biggest deal was Moschino SS09 campaign and not even that is truly major i think.
I find truly a pity cause she's a very good model + got some money maker appeal imo. I don't understand it, must be some management miskate unless it's her choice which would be so pointless.

To me personally Women isn't what it once was. There are so many changes happening in the modeling industry that its scary!
