CdG makes a few kinds of flyers for each collection.
this season, with the first flyer, they featured kishin shinoyama (photographer) and mondongo.
it's like a booklet of the photos of perishables by kishin and some extracts from red series which is the work of mondongo.
and thought I would post some.

I love the texture of the trees, very nice! However I did laugh a little at the title because mondongo is a funny word in Spanish : )

what does it mean ? ^ :ermm:

i like the texture too
it looks quilted .. like sashiko

so are they photographs
or they're "drawings" with coloured plasticine ?

seems like colored paint or marker on plasticine gius...:flower:..

really cool...thanks runner...
...

*btw- i think mondongo is a funny name in any language...
:p

^^what on earth are you talking about?...
...

OY!...
that is CRAZY!!.....

thanks for the clarification...
...

i guess i just re read what runner originally posted and the technique is some sort of plasticine paint (which seems to have a gel-like quality) used on wood...?
pretty great effect....
looks like when i was little and we finger painted on acetate to create 'faux stained glass'...
:p

the colors and the textures really are SO great!

the image with the girl in the red cape especially i think
i like that there is so much detail and variation..
from the reds on her cape to the blues in the water and the varying greys on the rock and in her shadow..
very cool

The textures on the dead trees are just amazing. I'm in awe that all the pathways of the tree textures "make sense" and do not just get lost. The gradation in the piece w/ the little girl in red is incredible as well.
