Moschino Pre-Fall 2023 Milan

One of his best collections. It should come across as derivative –clearly Margiela FW05 and Thierry Mugler– but it takes such an honest approach to the interpretation that you can't help but love all of it.

It's also astounding how this singular pre-collection also feels more Burberry than Tisci's entire tenure at Burberry.

Possibly one of his best in recent years. Really enjoy the entire collection especially the first half. Very well done to the T. Not too gimmicky and a showcase for the house HF skills.

i've never been a fan of jeremy scott's oeuvre, and i likely never will be. i just cannot take to it. everything he does looks like a pastiche of high fashion cliches - it's derivative, reductive, and tawdry.

I dislike his own brand, but his work at Moschino is usually good. I actually think that his approach at Moschino and some of his Moschino collections would be more in the spirit of Dior than those stuff offered by Maria. To say that, even if I am not sure whether he will do wonders at Dior, I think he has more potential and is definitely better than the duo helming Dior and Chanel.

It's very Jeremy Scott overall. Very derivative, very saccharine and definitely not for me at all. But I do admire his tenacity, even though I think it is getting pretty exhausting. More so now with Roseberry turning Schiaparelli into bit of a Moschino by Scott 2.0 meets Thom Browne. Also oddly enough, I see a lot of Watanabe in this along with the usual references which I wasn't expecting.

Based on how "Gaultier" this is, I wonder if he is gunning for the next JPG collab collection appointment...
