MOTIVATION for drinking water!!!

wow. i cant believe so many people here dont like drinking water or have to motivate themselves. i literally PANIC when i dont have a water bottle around me. i am addicted. i drink like 5 l a day. i havent noticed anything great either. but when i DONT drink at least 1l per day my skin becomes irritated and greasy.

oh, in case anyone cares. julia stegner says in this article that " alot of sleep, alot of water " are her beauty secrets.

if I'm out eating occasionally I'll have a lemon slice in my water but besides that I drink it plain all other times. Water is the only thing that quenches my thirst^_^ Love it:heart:

^I love lemon in water, but like you i only have it when I eat out. or with lime, perhaps I should do that more, cos sometimes I have to force myself to drink water

I kind of know what you mean..
I drink so much water, when I don't drink that huge amount I start to feel ill..

I used to never EVER EVER drink water. I used to hate the non-taste of it. So I used to drink juice all the time. Maybe my body got used to it cause I never feel thirsty, unless I'm eating something very salty. Now I try to drink at least 1L a day (I know, still not enough), but I can easily forget.

I never used to drink water, I used to seriously live off diet coke, but over the past few months I have started drinking 2 litres of water a day, and my skin is sooooo much better!! I can't quite believe it!! I just fill up the same bottle everyday and drink out of that all the time, I'm too lazy to keep getting up to get glasses!! Lol! So I am living proof that drinking water helps your skin :)

water...water...water....!

I've always had people tell me to always drink your water and never listened. Now I do and my skin, my hair, everything is so much better. Who would have thought. But I have to agree, I don't really like the constant urination!

For those of you who think you cannot drink too much water, there was a medical warning the other day in TV because a man had died of severe hypotension due to drinking like 12l of water and they reminded people that 2l is enough. They even had a name for water addiction, I can't remember it.

this scares me...just because something that everyone says is so good for you can kill you. but no worries i dont drink that much water. 2-3 L per day does it for me.

I don't need no motivation, I simply do it. I have to do it, I put quite few rules on myself like no snacking, drinking lots of water and forgeting about junk food. Now it's like routine and I don't think it's very demanding, nothing extraordinare.

It's a natural reaction for me to just buy or drink a glass of water....

^
Same here..
All this stuff about drinking to much water scares me a little..

Living in the desert, it's very easy to get dehydrated and extreme dehydration feels so, so terrible.

Remember: when you start to feel thristy, you're already dehydrated. So never let yourself become thristy.

same here.. I only drink water and a little carrot juice every now and then. Water is the only thing that quenches my thirst. laurlaur I know how you feel since I live in Texas

I've had good skin so I don't notice the difference, but what I do notice is how my stomach reacts to all those fizzy drinks, I start to feel huge.

I've always had very clear skin. But, when I stopped drinking sodas on a regular basis like 10 years ago, my skin became transparently clear and glowing. When I cheat and drink a pop or sweets, a zit surfaces and I drink like 6 bottles of water that day and the blemish is gone the next day.

Water is truly God's natural skin care system.

I am so motivated to drink more water- I need it for the skin and body! ALthough i dont think i would drink ice water, i like it cold but not too cold. I usually fill up 3 bottles of water at work and finish like only 2, but on the days that i dont have water by me, i end up not drinking any, and for that reason i need to be more dligent about my morning refills

I'm actually pretty lucky in that I've always drunk heaps of water without even thinking about it. I always have a big glass of water that I just constantly sip on and re-fill throughout the day. And if I'm out I always have a bottle of water with me no matter where I'm going or what I'm doing. It's the only thing that really quenches my thirst!

recently iv started to drink at least 2 litres a day.well 2 litres of pure water and then squash aswell.i used to hate water but i love it now :)

This thread definitely motivates me to drink more water, even after only reading one or two pages!

I usually don't drink a lot of water because of constant trips to the washroom, I really don't like the taste of water and I easily forget. It's hard to stay on track when I don't get a good amount of water in the beginning of the day.

I also get massive stomach aches after the 4th or 5th glass. Am I possibly drinking too fast? I try to space it out all day, and rarely have more than 4 glasses before noon. :S
