83. The Hunger Games: Catching Fire- This was so much better then the first film in the series. I especially loved how they did the first half of the film, in particular the way the portray the uprisings and discontent in the districts. It was exactly how I had imagined those scenes would look like.
84. The Bling Ring- Finally got the chance to see Sofia's latest flick, I liked how she left much of it opened ended, she didn't glorify what the group did nor did she completely shame them, it was up to you to decide what the message might be. It was of course, impeccably filmed and with a great soundtrack, like all of her films are. And Emma Watson's Nikki was spot on.
85. 12 Years a Slave- I am in awe of this film, it is incredibly moving, and it is one of the few times I've experienced everyone leaving the theater in silence because we were still so struck by what we had just watched. Chiwetel Ejiofor and Lupita Nyong’o played the characters in a way that left me with chills. I'm actually still processing this film, there is so much to take in with it.
