the film is okay but the photography is stunning
Storaro shows his brilliance in composition, light and shadow, reflections, interiors, etc., etc.

I created a thread for Delphine Seyrig over in Star Style, so here are some shots of Delphine from two films. I wanted to cap Last Year At Marienbad as well, but my copy is a blu-ray and my laptop only has a DVD drive.

it opens with a shot of sophie marceau walking in the rain wearing chanel heels. it's my favorite opening of any film ever.

^ Stunning I want to see it what is it about
It's an Italian pulp thriller ... the hero tries to catch a killer on the loose (you've seen the formula before )

I didn't know they made The Atrocity Exhibition into a movie. How is it?
I enjoyed watching it. It follows the book, making for an experimental, non-linear film. The commentary track with Ballard was quite interesting.

Yes, it's very unique ... and it's been banned in many countries for sexual/political content. Although some scenes are disturbing, I still enjoyed the surreal visual experience.
