Marlene Dietrich - a legend!

LOVE how glamour back then, as conservative and covered up as it was (compared to today) looked WAY better than a lot of what we see in movies today (excluding SATC :P)

^ Agree about Marlene being a legend.

Disagree about SATC movie fashion being anything special

^ not the movie - the clothing.

of course glamour was way better back in the late 30's till the early 70's..

after that i just thought it wasnt as great.

sigh.

I also think nearly all people were more devoted to appropriate dressing (and the details) that time.

You certainly see a shift in men’s suits as well. In nearly all movies I have seen they were perfect up to WWII, but then they started to lose touch and get sloppy.

I Married a Witch (1942)

Veronica Lake
Fredric March

ErnstLudwig you are rad. Veronica Lake is my favorite actress of all time -- I'm embarrassed to say I've never seen that film though, definitely on my list now. Keep the caps coming please

indeed great movie, I especially like the locations, sets & usage of colors!

Sabrina (1954)

I adore the outfits Jennifer Connelly wore in this film, but I can't find
any screencaps of most of her outfits. Boo.
