ErnstLudwig you rock!:woot: Thanks so much for all your screencaps on this thread.

I've recently just seen a documentary on Visconti and they were talking about this film! I'm desperate to see it - but it's not available on DVD! So I got the next best thing - a glimpse of the film with your caps. :flower:

Was he influenced by it? because even though the movie is half-neorealism it is by Antonioni not Visconti

btw compare the ending with L'eclisse

No, sorry, my bad, the documentary was on Visconti but also featured works of his contemporary Italian artists - Antonioni being one of them. God the film looks so beautiful! I really want to see it!^_^

Veronica Lake in This Gun For Hire (1942)

She reminds me of Giselle and Snejana at times.

At first I thought you were talking about the size of the caps and then I realised you meant her height! Silly me
Anyway your Il deserto rosso are gorgeous, Monica Vitti is so beautiful!

this may sound silly but this image is circling on the top of this forum and I know it is a movie still but where is it from?!

^ It's from Federico Fellini's "La Dolce Vita". The two actors in the still are Marcello Mastroianni and Anita Ekberg. :flower:

La Dolce Vita is one of my favorite fashion movies... a must see.
Loving the Veronica Lake stills, she is (always) utter perfection.
Just bought Red Desert this week and am so excited to watch it after seeing those stills!

Thanks everyone
