Yup- that was actually the thing that put him on the National stage, he was pretty much just a New York business before that- Redford was on the cover of Time, GQ and Newsweek in Ralph's pink three piece suit and everything!...I felt sorry for him though- Theoni Aldredge won the Oscar for best costume design that year, and Ralph felt he should get one too, but she said she fed him the ideas for the men's clothes...he felt if it wasn't for the sort of clothes he made she never would have had him do it..still a sore point with Ralph to this day...

Even though I didn't like Gigi overall, it was quite beautiful. ErnstLudwig, I'd give you more Karma for all of your BEAUTIFUL work in this thread, but it says I've got to spread reputation around before giving more to you. lol


Oh, and TheFrenchy, I Am Love was such a masterpiece! Beautiful, loved the costumes, the locations, the music, the performances, the story.. one of my all-time favorites. Thanks for the screencaps!
