But he got what he wanted...attention!

Did anyone watch the MTV movie awards? It was awful. And I'm ussually easily amused by award shows! First of all as lovely as she is, Lindsay Lohan wasn't a good host. The host ussually opens with somthing funny, but she just did some stupid dance. And Paris Hilton was interviewing everyone on the red carpet.. The only thing I heard her say to everyone was 'That's hot'. Anyway, sorry for the rant I just thought it was boring.. :innocent:

Any btw, what was up with Sharon Stone and Christina Aguilera? Are they a couple now?

She looks gorgeous.

does anyone not like halle berry with long hair? [/b][/quote]
While I was watching her it looked like her face disappeared into her hair at points...

I'm not feeling the wild woman/just electricuted look....

I'm not liking the outfit as well...too gold, too shiny..looks like she stole left over gold material from Cher.

I have to give Christina props for being a bit more classy in her dressing...I have been praying for the day she figured out assless chaps are not kool with a bikini top and black hair...

Now if only she could lessen her Mystic tanning.... :innocent:

I just saw it. I found it a bit tacky actually. Not that I was expecting Oscar treatment or anything, but the little animated creature and floating eyeballs...
:yuk:
Everyone was generally badly dressed on top of it all. Lindsay Lohan looked overbaked and trashy, which basically fit with the rest of the show. Also, since when is she the new "It" girl? I thought that that was Scarlett, or is she now too old...? I'm getting very sick of Uma and Quentin as well. Basically, watching this show made me realize just how much the majority of these people irritate me.
Kirsten Dunst seemed generally cute, but I didn't even really like what she was wearing. Lucy Liu was alright as well, her makeup was well done. She seemed to be better put together than the most of the other attendees. Other than that, nobody really stood out for me. Oh, and that Michael Moore plug in the middle of the LTR awards... I seriously dislike that man, he really has no sense of what's appropriate.
Very tasteless overall.

I agree with every word you said, Purple. Well-put, as usual. And, yes,
Michael Moore has the bad taste to start ranting and plugging his movies in the middle of Reagan's funeral, if he had been invited (not that he would have attended).

Exactly...

I tried to find some pictures from the show to post for everyone, but only the official site really has any. And they're all Flash, so you'll just have to wait.
Ooh, the anticipation!
:innocent:
I found this article vaguely funny though.
And by the way, Paris will pretty much kiss anyone, so it's not a huge surprise, really...

MTV Movie Awards -- strictly pointless
Paris smooches Carmen, Ashton chews like a goat

Aidin Vaziri, Special to The Chronicle
Friday, June 11, 2004 (It seems we're ages behind here!)

Everybody knows awards shows are pointless. That's why nobody watches the Oscars without getting a blood transfusion before the credits and another one by the time Phil Collins sings.
But what about the MTV Movie Awards? They're supposed to be pointless because they're for young people and young people don't care about anything, especially things like voting and catching venereal diseases.
That's why they give out prizes for dumb things like best fight and most boners. And everyone gets to make out with Carmen Electra. And Eminem shows his butt.
Oh, and would it even be an awards show that nobody cares about if Snoop Dogg weren't there to change every word that comes out of his mouth so it sounds as if the word took an Alka-Seltzer (nomin-izzle, shoe-izzle)? Not. What more could people want? Well, apart from being able to watch more than 20 seconds of it without wanting to puke on their cat's head?
Last night's MTV Movie Awards was hosted by Lindsay Lohan, who is most famous for, in the following order: 1) her boobs. 2) getting into a catfight with rival Hilary Duff over the worst and possibly most ugly teen singer in history, Aaron Carter. 3) There's a No. 3? (This bit made me snicker...)
Lohan proved her excellent acting abilities between introducing presenters by acting just like everything from a used pizza box to a wooden Popsicle stick.
Her range was incredible -- almost as compelling as Ashton Kutcher's ability to chew gum on camera. He was so good at it that they had to break from important awards footage several times during the night to flash to his gnawing mouth. Somebody please cast this guy as a billy goat for the making of "Babe III."
Now some people are going to think, "Wait, what about that part where Carmen Electra kissed Paris Hilton? That was like controversial or something." Yeah, maybe if somebody took a time machine here from 1872, those two seconds might have seemed a little provocative. Or maybe not, considering that people in 1872 had bigger things to worry about: a war, a bad economy and an unreliable president.
Without exception Tom Cruise is the best actor in the world. That proves the world sucks. When he came out to present an award with his "Collateral" co- star Jamie Foxx, he blew the intro skit so bad he had to resort to throwing pieces of his clothing out into the audience just to get people to stop snorting coke and look up.
What else happened? Well, it was hard to tell what was supposed to be part of the show and what was just a trailer for some terrible new movie starring Will Ferrell. Although it's pretty safe to say it wasn't an advertisement when Jimmy Fallon busted some break-dancing moves for co- presenter Queen Latifah and announced, "I think I hurt my balls!" The rest was not so clear.
Was Adam Sandler dressed like an 11-year-old boy because he's appearing in another movie where he's supposed to be an immature grown-up, or is he just stupid?
Was Quentin Tarantino wearing yoga pants from Target because his next movie features lots of fight sequences using the downward-facing dog position?
Did the Beastie Boys look old because they plan on starring in a biopic on the "Kokomo"-era Beach Boys?
What really made this year's MTV Movie Awards different from all the other lousy awards shows out there was the inspired choice for the night's biggest winner, the best movie honor.
Wrong again.
They just gave it to "The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King," the same movie that won the best-movie prize at a little thing called the Academy Awards.

Good job blowing everything, MTV.

rofl! what i'm wondering is... why is ashlee simpson and dave navaro critiquing fashion?

the only thing I like about lindsay lohan is her necklaces in the opening number.

Great article, purple.

The award show was really crappy. I only liked Brittany, Halle, Scarlett (her dress was eww though) and Kirsten (and I did kinda like her outfit).

Lindsay is really getting on my nerves now. And every time the presenters came up to nominate someone, it was so dumb, and so awkward. No one even laughed at their 'funny-presentations'.

I'm not BIG on celebrity style, but I have to cite Christian Ricci as the only stylish one. Scarlett's is cute. Roland Mouret?

I thought Paris looked classy--well done for her!!!

I loved what Niki wore.
I also loved what Nicole Ritchie wore...she looked elegant and not dumpy/whoreish

Christina Ricci looked nice, she is looking rather thin though.
I loved Helle's outfit. I quite like her long hair.
