WWD
Following its most recent fall campaign starring Lexi Boling against a starry cityscape, Mugler went in a more industrial direction for spring. The brand tapped Doutzen Kroes as the face of its spring ads, shot by photographer Christian MacDonald in Tampa, Fla. With slicked-back hair, Kroes dons the brand’s sexy, sculptural military-themed collection against a nautical backdrop in a shoot styled by Clare Richardson.
“Doutzen represents everything we are looking for in the Mugler woman,” Virginie Courtin-Clarins, Mugler’s brand development and communications director, told WWD of the 30-year-old Dutch model. “She is ultrafeminine, but there’s a natural strength and confidence about her that makes her both modern and powerful.”

Love it!
Especially pictures 4 and 6
I like it! Really good campaign. Sad to see Doutzen alone. I was hopingg for Lily Donaldson too. Their backstage pictures after Mugler's show were great..
Her poses could be more varied, but this looks good. Doutzen always suited athletic styling, she's got the bone structure for it. I'm just a bit perplexed why they went with her. I feel like she's no longer on the hf campaign radar, might be wrong since I don't really follow her career.
I love the 'strong woman' vision that Koma is going for but I would like this so much more if Doutzen's fierce expression (in some shots) didn't look so forced. However overall, it's another great Mugler campaign.
