I am not even going to go much into this but this is embarrassing. Classless girl, classless cover. Aymeline's is pretty good though.

Enough with trashing this girl based on her looks! Anyone with the wrong styling can look trashy! or are you gonna tell me that Izabel doesn´t look vulgar in the ed above?
or that a voluptuous girl like say Adriana Lima wouldn´t look just as trashy as Kate does in the ed?
Why aren´t we talking about Faena and whoever did the styling? Kate is just following directions...

 It bothers me that girls like Kate steal the covers of true models. Thank God the cover of Aymeline is sublime. She is sublime  The Izabel editorial is a bit vulgar, for some special reason reminds me of the video "I'm sexy and I know it" :ninja:

Mariano Vivanco's edit is reminiscent of Christy and Linda, during the 90's, or at least I feel those vibes.

Yup, people can continue to play oversensitive and make this seem like it's all about her breasts, I'm sure most of us here LOVE Lara Stone. The issue is this girl's freakin' Anna Nicole Smith face, poses, hair and general vibe. A bunny with a name. I'm impressed.

It's not about her t*ts as much as it is about something we can't talk about. Anyway, I think Anna Nicole Smith was a great model in her prime. Just not a high fashion model.

i think the main difference that creates all this opposition to kate upton, which hasn't been articulated, is that her face is quite round (along with her "rounder" body)--her cheeks, short chin and short round nose/profile.

Other SI girls and former bombshell-type models still have those model-like features seen in high fashion girls: some sign of cheekbones sitting just below the eyes, prominent orbital structure, a pronounced jawline--angles. You can see this from Heidi to Tyra to Christie Brinkley to Irina Shayk to Candice Swanepoel and even Miranda Kerr.

I think that's why she appears so different from what we're used to seeing.

There's actually not too much of angles on Miranda. She has a real baby face.

But yeah, it's been interesting that the last 10 years of swimsuit models in particular have had strongly male features as far as body structure (very toned) goes and a general lack of feminine "softness". Izabel is a perfect example of that.

Miranda, I think, is a step back to the classic pin-up of the 50s. Feminine yet as lithe as they come. Kate Upton is more of the Jayne Mansfield mould.

Miranda definitely has a baby face but she also has more angles in her face than Kate Upton because her facial structure has more projection. I guess in my comment I should have clarified I meant angles for photographic purposes because Miranda photographs beautifully in many lights--there are some contours.

Anyway, yes, in the story featuring Izabel, she looks a lot "harder" than Kate...the same goes for Aymeline Valade's story.

It's interesting if you look through the models featured in this issue. Strongly male features have been "in" for the past 10-ish years and you can see that with all the other models except Kate in this issue. The male audience tends to prefer though softer girls like Miranda and Kate (and can't leave out round faced Adriana Lima) but photographers and fashion fans seem to favor those more masculine qualities because it can make pictures more interesting (and you can see that even with Lara, Heidi etc).

For the past seven or so years there have been round faced / non-angular models in both the commercial and high fashion realm like Gemma, Natalia, Adriana, Miranda and some others. IMO when it comes to the "right" look you can make generalizations but someone can always come along and change the game or be the exception. I don't know if Kate Upton will be a game-changer or exception, and while I don't like every image she has produced, I don't find find her objectionable.

wow...i dont like any of the covers!! first is p*rno, second is boring and third is uninspiring.
surprisingly all the eds inside are great, even kate´s ed wish i find stuning!!

ps: kendra looks like linda!

I cannot stand this girl. She is not high fashion nor will she ever be. And she is not Lara. :yuk:

Aymeline's cover slightly saves this.

she belongs on the cover of FHM or Playboy  She will never be high fashion, Can anyone else recall her horrid runway walk at the beach bunny show

Re the covers, I like Ayemeline's cover the best and then Kate's. I don't care for Toni and Kendra's cover but I really like their ed, I particularly like their chemistry. I like Kate's ed, I really do think that she has presence and confidence in front of the camera. I see the Anna Nicole and bombshell comparisons, but Anna Nicole in her prime produced some freaking amazing images, so I don't consider it perjorative that Kate and Anna Nicole have a similar vibe.

I like Ayrmeline's face but her ed is meh. I like Izabel and especially  her hair, but that ed is same old-same old. I wanna like Kristina's ed, and I do like the styling, but other than the pink dress and the trapeze dress images, I don't care for the overall ed. Vanessa's ed is meh too, I wish that I could compliment the scenery but I am not moved by that either.

I hate that "high fashion" has come to mean very little trace of actual femininity and that the first response to seeing a woman with naturally large breasts is that she is "vulgar" somehow. Kate's SI cover was tacky due to the pose and too-small swimwear. Her cover here is actually nice and restrained.

It's nice to see soft feminine features to counteract all the cheekbones and angles so prominent in high fashion. I love the throwback quality of her editorial. She reminds me of Sandra Dee.

I think Sandra Dee had more "angles" in her face. Her face was longer and the light just embraced her.
Kate has a very small and round face. Almost childish. I don't find her feminine but childish or even teen-looking.

And I don't see this "trend" for angular faces as having just 10 years. 25 years minimum. And don't make me even start with Cathee Dahmen or Veruschka.

She has more of a Barbara Minty vibe for me... and even Barbara had some angles!
