i don't have any issues with Chanel nailpolishes. yes, that's possibly cause i throw 2 layers of nailpolish on my nail and another layer of Dior topcoat. trust me. no chipping, no fading, i had the color (Cosmique, a gorgeous blue i found by accident. bluer than Blue Satin.) for over 2 weeks. no complaints.

maybe it's less thanks to the Chanel but the Dior

^I would say it is, and you must have great nail bases that help the colour stick better..because without doubt every Chanel colour i have chips within days. I've bought a few, here and overseas just to mix them up and it's always the same result

If you want something that looks like Blue Satin, I'd definitely try OPI's Yoga-ta Get This Blue! from their Indian collection. It's beautiful

My local Target sells OPI. I've heard that not all Targets do though.

That's one of the main things I pick up there! It's less expensive there than at most salons/beauty stores.

To those who wear OPI's Lincoln Park After Dark. How many coats do you normally apply? I usually do 2-3 but find that the shade ends up more black than anything else, and it's near impossible to see the color, even in light, or unless you look carefully at the sides of your nails that didn't get painted by the second or third layer I noticed this problem more than ever this week after wearing it on my nails. I don't recall it being as bad as before. 1 coat is usually too streaky to leave by itself.

thanks for the tip! I've never bought any cosmetics off ebay, but haven't people used that nail polish before? it seems a bit weird to me to use something others have been using before

^No, the nail polish should be new as are cosmetics etc. You cannot sell used cosmetics on eBay, although people will say they "only tested" or "tried only once". Stay away from auctions like that. Just look for high (99.8-100%) feedback with listings for new products. I have bought nail polish and cosmetics from eBay and haven't had a problem yet.

^ i recently tried Seche Vite and i love it! it seems counterintuitive, but you apply your polish one coat after another, and then apply the topcoat right over it without waiting for anything to dry. Seche Vite is quick thick and seems to smooth everything out, and once it's on, it dries all the layers very quickly. it makes veryvery quick work of a manicure.
