Nail Polish

Chanel Rose Satin might work  I'm putting it on tonight so I'll try & post pictures tomorrow when there's better light. It has a tiny shimmer to it, looks more pink in the bottle but more peach on my nails.

This is Rose Satin

I didn't find Gris Perle, so I got Black Sequins instead (darker but still gorgeous)

I just saw this link from Wonderland Beauty Parlor a few days ago on facebook. I have gone there before to get my hair cut and colored but never a mani. I think this stuff in the video looks pretty awesome but I don't think I could pull it off or really want to either. It does look really cool though! (and btw, they are awesome for hair, I just don't go there regularly b/c it's pretty expensive for me).

I love this site: Stupid Nail Polish Names

Excerpt...

I'm Not Really A Waitress

That's right, honey, you're a nail polish.

stupidnailpolishnames.blogspot

Oh, you mean the person wearing you? What is she? If this is her signature color, and her days are taken up by waitressing, I think I have a guess in mind. It starts with "p" and ends with (cover your eyes, young readers) "rostitute" or (OK, open your eyes now) "erson who doesn't have to stand on her feet all day to make a good living."

I assume this name is a nod to the stereotype of the would-be starlet who flies out to the Big City and, just until she gets her break, takes a job slinging burgers. (Do people in Los Angeles still eat burgers? She is probably slinging macrobiotic fiddlehead ferns. [Incidentally, Slingin' Fiddleheads is my new band name.]) Of course, when we check in on her in fifteen years, she's still there, calling the customers "sweetheart" and urging them to try a slice of the cherry pie (acai berry flan).

So, I guess my question here is: is that someone we really want to channel? I mean, maybe I'm just not fabulous enough, but rarely do I wake up in the morning and think, "Today I want to decrease my glamour quotient, you know, but I also want something that says 'I'm just not good enough for my dreams.' I wonder if any one product can fulfill both these needs. It can? And it also says 'I've abandoned my family and home for a shot at fame, but I'm stuck in a menial job while my rapidly fading looks make my chances of success ever more depressingly negligible'? Thanks, OPI!"

Maybe Essence All Access?

^The Wandering Wineis stunning! The color reminds me of spinach  It looks great on your skin tone btw.

Thanks for all the ideas guys! I used OPI in Green-Wich Village last time and really didn't like it. It was too appley green for my liking. I'll definitely try out some of these suggestions!

Guys,do your OPI polishes chip fast?
I painted mine yesterday, put 2 coats and not thick ones, but after few hours some ends were already chipped:(

Yes! Thank you!! Sometimes I feel like the only person in the world who thinks OPI polishes don't have any staying power. I follow the same routine (top coat/base coat) regardless of my polish brand and inevitability the OPI colors chip right away. I don't have this problem with other brands (Chanel, Dior, Lancome, etc). Which begs the question: Why the hell do I still buy them?! I'm either a glutton for punishment or can't resist the awesome range of colors :ermm:

I've just applied Chanel Rose Satin, its a lovely colour for spring but its a little bit light.

gorgeoussssss! I think that color really compliments the model's skin tone but I'm not sure how it would look on mine to be honest.
