:buzz:Swimsuits with attitude/skill/soul...I love this edit. Thats how they should all be done IMO. Thanks Testinofan:flower:!

which ones are you referring to that don't look like her?

"Il piacere di un abito sta tutto nella finzione, nell'effetto" ("The pleasure of a dress is all in the fiction"?) editorial, Vogue Italia, 1989/1990 (?).
I guess one has to know who we're dealing with here, jokes. This is Naomi Campbell she's been around and has evolved. She has the ability to adapt to the times and her work reflects that. Most models don't get that. But at the same time she looks like Naomi in all her photos to me!
**Anyhow,I remember this edit its from the December Vogue Italy 1989 issue with that killer Trinity cover^_^. Thanks for sharing as always:flower:.

I cannot get over how much Iman (model) looks like Naomi Campbell in the pics below. Do you agree? (Especially the first one)

They have similarities but Naomi's got the lips so thats how they REALLY defer to me,jokes. Over the years both have had work that reminds me of the other. Anyhow, both are just great, great groundbreaking models:heart:.

thanks for the info omifan! i remember that cover/issue well & know i had that one, so that makes sense.

i had the issues from feb/sept/oct/nov/dec from 1989 + jan/feb/march from 1990 (going from the covers at iconography) but i was stupid enough to dissect them back then (the Vogue Italias i still have go from April 1990 upwards) & so it's hard for me to remember which exact issue my editorial clippings are from.

^We'll help you out when we can,so feel free to scan, jokes! I've ripped up many mags in my day but I try to stay away from the Vogue Italia's...they tend to be very collectible!

for instance in #10469 & 10470 and sveral others from that page...

 are you serious? posts 10469 & 10470 are definitely Naomi, & everything else on that page is very clearly Naomi.

you've got to remember that these are editorials from 20 years ago, so of course she looks younger & slightly different, but it's very obvious for anyone who knows her work from that time & in general that it's her.

You're absolutely right! Again seeing models around for that long is kinda rare. Yet one must remember they change a bit physically in the process, jokes.

Hysterical:lol:! Actually no Vogue is immune to being ripped up except for Vogue Italy IMO!

Vogue Italia is undoubtedly the best, but i also regret dissecting my UK & Paris Vogues from the late 80's too in hindsight. ah well, this was 20 years ago, what can you do!

one more for the road..
