Page Six exclusively revealed Naomi, 42, and Vlad, 50, broke up earlier this year. We hear they split in January and finalized the break in March.
The source explained, “They broke up because there were too many ups and downs, and you can only deal with that for so long. Vlad wishes Naomi well. He just wants to move on with his life, but she won’t let him.”
The source said Vlad was surprised to see paparazzi shots of himself with Luo at his secluded villa in Ibiza, adding, “Only a few people know the location of that villa. It’s hard to find, and he suspects she told the paparazzi.”
But a source close to the British beauty, whose career is back on top thanks to the success of “The Face” in the US, said, “She is totally focused on ‘The Face.’ She’s in London working around the clock on the British version of the show. This isn’t easy for Naomi. This relationship seems almost designed to hurt her. She is trying hard to keep a brave face and not to think about it.
“Naomi isn’t trying to destroy Luo’s career, Luo’s agents wanted to get rid of her,” the source continued. “And there’s no way Naomi would have known they were in Ibiza.”
Neal Hamil, president of MIX Model Management NYC, ended Luo's contract last week.
He told Page Six in an e-mail, "I would just like to clarify that the decision concerning not to continue representing ZiLin was made on Memorial Day when she phoned me to say she was boarding a flight to China."
"I informed her that doing so was in direct conflict with what [we] had discussed for her in further developing her career," Hamil continued. "I told her then that we would no longer represent her and I also informed her manager in China, whom I have great respect for, of our decision to terminate our professional relationship with her client."
He concluded, "I had absolutely no knowledge of her plans other than she was returning to China. It is disappointing that it did not work out but talent and manager must be equally committed and working in tandem. We wish her the best in future pursuits but this was a professional, rather than a [personal] decision."

The supermodel Naomi Campbell has reportedly been ordered to appear before a court in Italy over accusations she attacked a photographer who was taking pictures of her while on holiday.
Gaetano di Giovanni claims the London-born model scratched him and hit him with her handbag in an alleged attack in 2009 on the Aeolian island of Lipari, off the north coast of Sicily.
She has always denied the accusations, and claims instead that di Giovanni was harassing her. Prosecutor Francesco Massara has now ordered Campbell to appear before judges on 4 December, the Ansa news agency reported, quoting unnamed judicial sources.
A spokesman for Campbell said: "Three years ago Ms Campbell was the victim of paparazzi harassment in Italy. The photographer has claimed to have been attacked by Ms Campbell, a claim our client has categorically denied and her team is confident to prove this in court later this year."
Di Giovanni said he did not want to comment. At the time of the incident he was quoted as telling Italian daily newspaper La Repubblica that he had only just started to take photographs of the model when she reacted angrily, shouting at him and attempting to slap him in the face.
He claimed her nails scratched one of his eyes. "For several moments I could see absolutely nothing," he was quoted as saying, claiming he had sought medical treatment afterwards.
The model's spokesman said the accusations were "completely untrue".
In 2000 Campbell, 43, pleaded guilty in a Toronto court to having assaulted her former assistant, Georgina Galanis, with a telephone two years previously. In 2007 she was sentenced to five days' community service and ordered to attend anger-management classes in New York after admitting having thrown a mobile phone at her housekeeper the previous year.
In 2008 she pleaded guilty to assaulting two police officers who were called to remove her from a plane at Heathrow airport. Campbell, who had been furious after the airline told her it had lost one of her bags, was sentenced to 200 hours of community service.
Two years later it was in a rather different capacity that Campbell appeared in a courtroom, testifying at Charles Taylor's war crimes trial in the Hague over the Liberian ex-president's alleged involvement in the illicit trade of blood diamonds.
Located off the north coast of Sicily, Lipari is the largest of the Aeolian islands, which include Stromboli. During the summer its population almost doubles as tourists flock to its coastline.

Prayers for Naomi ... so sad about Zilin ... I'm sure now that Naomi will have some "boundaries" in place for the winners and not get so close to them. Ironically this is what contestants on ANTM always complained about Tyra, that post-show you dont hear from her. However this is an extreme case of what can happen when you get too close. Poor Naomi, she really wanted her to succeed. Shame on Zilin & Vlad ...
