SoHo and the Village are basically where all the "fashionistas" frequent, so that is why it's usually photos of them there. lol

Well like others said, SoHo and the Village are just the trendiest areas. East Village too, it's like vintage, but trendy because of the Eastern European Jewish immigrants during the Ellis Island era.
On the Upper East Side, the fashion is very posh because of all the old-money families. It probably makes up a large percentage of Ralph Lauren Collection sales.

^^ I don't think you live in NY otherwise you wouldn't make a statement like that. soho & the vill are NOT the only area where people with style can be found.

Let's not be so quick with the accusations!

I think style is where you find. Lots of people in NYC are trendy and plenty of them aren't. Trust me, plenty aren't.
