Nicolas Ghesquière - Designer, Creative Director of Louis Vuitton

I didn’t know who designed this initially until now. I really liked it. (I am not 100% on the show but it is fine)

hopefully he is over his ugly belt on ugly red carpet dresses phase

I don’t think he is because based on his talks with the ambassadors, he (and his team) seems to be really interested in challenging the perception of Redcarpet dressing…

I think the red above challenges red carpet beautifully without looking dated and ugly.

For a moment I thought he must hate having to do red carpet dresses. I think this is a good balance but it also helps with the right celebrity and styling with is done to perfection above

I am sure that one day we will look back and thank God for Louis Vuitton and Ghesquière for having invented the perfect outfit to shoplift an Ikea store… But today is not that day and this is the most horrendous thing I have ever seen.

It’s definitely the rejected Christmas decor because this year, the carousel in the window displays was actually beautiful.

Wow. So many thoughts…

I already wrote about how it was a bad look for zendaya to wear that vintage inspired piece since it made NG look like he can’t do red carpet.

Which he cant.

LVMH knows he can’t do red carpet. They may want to get rid of him because why would they set him up to fail…

This is a total failure and flop. I knew this is what NG RC would look like and that’s why we never saw any of it. We always knew NG couldn’t do RC.

What is interesting about Vuitton Redcarpet looks is that a small selection of those looks end up in the exclusive salons.
They have so many lines in a way that they can mix the eveningwear section with the more daring styles from the runway (who are often marketed as eveningwear).

I don’t think LVMH cares about Redcarpet but you would be surprised, people in the team and atelier may actually love him for allowing them to design and for approving those designs.
At some point, there are not many column sequined dresses to be made so they may actually be excited about that.

This is not very good whoever did it or approved it. Someone mistook "architectural" with "caricatural".
It looks like what the new Cardin team would do for the Couture week.
That poor woman won't be able even to seat.

Nico has lost it...

Worse— he’s become arrogant. He wavers between these trolling mockeries of fashion, because him and the annoying MAS can get away with it, and genuinely creative and gorgeous offerings, like the doll collection. LVMH has made him lazy and invincible since as long as he churns DIY costumes to dress Vuitton’s millions of witless ambassadors pushing logo’d and monogrammed gaudy trashbags that make LVMH bank, the corporation will always allow him to troll fashion (and the current fashion era absolutely deserves to be trolled). If he were shoved out of LVMH’s gilded world, and had to make his own way, you can be sure he will instantly be putting in the efforts designing like his old Balenciaga days again.

I’m tired of him too, but he's still got it in him.
