NICOLE Trunfio is the heir apparent. David Jones has recruited the Aussie supermodel to lead its spring/summer fashion parade on Tuesday, stepping in for newly married Miranda Kerr.

Trunfio, 24, also features prominently in the department store's new summer catalogue.

Despite her boosted profile, the brunette beauty played down rumours she was being prepped to replace Kerr, who is rumoured to be pregnant.

"No, that's gossip," she said during an exclusive shoot with The Sunday Telegraph.
"Miranda's definitely dedicated to her job at David Jones." The store released Kerr from her duties to wed actor Orlando Bloom.

Trunfio was voted the model best suited to take over from Kerr, 27, in a poll run by The Sunday Telegraph Online last week.

Abbey Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeil and Alexandra Agoston will also model at Tuesday morning's fashion parade, to be held at David Jones' Sydney CBD stor.

It's a welcome boost for DJs, rocked in June by the resignation of CEO Mark McInnes after a sexual harassment allegation.

BRUNETTE beauty Nicole Trunfio will fill Miranda Kerr's fashionable shoes in opening the David Jones summer collections launch on Tuesday.

Trunfio will strut the catwalk with other high-profile models Abby Lee Kershaw, Catherine McNeill and Alexandra Agoston in Kerr's absence after her marriage to Orlando Bloom.

The internationally successful Trunfio will open the show in an eye-catching design by camilla and marc.

"I've always been a fan of theirs," Trunfio says.

"They're tailoring is amazing, it's simple and sophisticated. They just get it."

Camilla and marc switched allegiance from Myer to David Jones in March and the summer range is the first to hit shelves in its new home.

Trunfio is looking forward to the lavish launch.

"Abbey, Catherine and Alexandra are great girls, we're all happy to be back here working together," she says.
