MEGAN FOX - BEAUTIFUL STRANGER
Our October cover girl like you've never seen (or heard) her before.
Keeping our October cover choice a secret proved impossible from the start: After NYLON editor-in-chief Marvin Scott Jarrett wrapped her shoot in Los Angeles, she stepped outside to a wall of waiting paparazzi.
But though you might not be surprised by Megan Fox's inevitable appearance on our October issue, we think you'll be pleasantly shocked by her thoughtful interview with executive editor Stephanie Trong, and her dressed-down outfits pulled by stylists Anda & Masha.
Below, a few highlights of each - and of course, you can see the whole thing in a NYLON issue near you!
On her recent rise to fame:
“I think that I’m really overexposed. I was part of a movie that [the studio] wanted to make sure would make $700 million, so they oversaturated the media with their stars, I don’t want to be in magazines every week and on the Internet everyday. I don’t want to have people get completely sick of me before I’ve ever even done something legitimate.”
Why you should see her in Jennifer’s Body:
“It’s a comedy, which no one has really seen me do before. It might be a complete failure on my part. But the fact that I had to really put myself out there is totally different than being able to hide behind the magic of ILM [Industrial Light and Magic, which did special effects for Transformers]. That’s no hiding from anything. There’s nothing there to distract you from my performance. So if it’s bad, it’s going to be ****ing bad for me. And if it’s good, then I will have achieved something on some level.”
Her thoughts on Michael Bay:
“We say this **** to each other. It’s not that we’re buddies, but to get through making his movies, you have to give him ****. You can’t mentally and emotionally survive until you get some of that out, and he actually enjoys the process of having his actors b*tch at him and him being able to b*tch back at his actors.”
The Marilyn Tattoo is just a picture:
“I’m really knowledgeable of her life, but I would never want to emulate her. She’s not, like, a hero of mine. And I don’t find any amazing parallels where I feel like we’re one and the same, or any **** like that.”
On her super long kiss with Amanda Seyfried
“They slowed the film down or something. Amanda was extremely uncomfortable doing it, because she doesn’t kiss girls. She hated it. I was way more comfortable with it than she was. And if I have to kiss a stranger for work, I would much rather it be a female than a male.”
