Second day at London Fashion Week. It’s amazing how people dress up and I’ve seen a lot of fabolous looking people. Besides spotting Julia Restoin Roitfeld, we also met Kate Lanphear and Olivia Palermo (who said ”Love your jeans!” which made me a bit confused since it’s like the oldest pair of Acne jeans I own. Anyway, forgot to snap a picture of her).
I also got the chance to see Emilio de Morena and Topshop Unique. Emilio de Morena was great but I think that Thomas Tait is the best show, so far, even though I really liked Emilio de Morena.

Love love the skirt at Julien McDonald!!! and the Charlotte Olympia heels are to die for too!! Not a fan of the maxi skirt with the leather jacket look, it was all a bit random!!?

Olivia Palermo also turned out to support her friend, fashion designer and party host Markus Lupfer, who was jubilant to be surrounded by so many pretty young party people wearing his creations. We asked Olivia why she hadn’t moved to London, as the last time we spoke to her she told us it was her dream. I thought House of Lavande carried only vintage pieces? Is her bracelet a 1960s-esque Trifari in limited production?? I've just never seen multiples of high-end vintage items.

Another thing ... Olivia seems to have an incestuous relationship with some of these brands. Dunno seems like many celebs and pseudo-celebs have this symbiotic relationship with fashion labels. Does she wear certain brands (eg. Bensoni, Topshop, Tibi etc) because she really likes them or does she wear them because she's paid to wear them and thus gets swag? And, I swear Elle magazine, Olivia and all these up-and-coming brands seem to be quoted in the same caption or page etc?

Is this why her style has devolved? As she's skyrocketed from her "City" fame has she made certain agreements and is therefore beholden to wear and promote these brands in interviews? And, hence reined in her natural fashion aesthetic to only particular designers/labels? I know she says she's "friends" with and "supports" new designers. If supporting means wearing free clothes at events in exchange for free publicity - wow I wish I had more fashionable friends to "support."

Anyone in the biz please chime in?
