Olivia Palermo

From what i heard shes a european 37 in shoes.i agree the white and red together just doesnt work! I have lived in Germany and never heard of this couples award either haha! I think shes losing the plot a bit by overexploiting her name and being present at all kinds of events- she needs to focus on more high profile events.

Stupid award, but I think I've heard about it before, havent JJ Liefers and Anna Loos already got it? Which doesnt makethe award any more important of course. I think German media want to get their piece of the Johannes/Olivia hype since he's German. And no, Johannes wasnt any famous here in Germany as a model. I think he only became somewhat known when Olivia started being in the magazines here, too.

LOL. Her bone structure works against her in modeling. The eyes are too close together and deep-set. Her expression is typically blank.

When will editors give up and stop trying to make her happen as a model?

I have never understood why, particularly in so many photo shoots, her make up seems to be so overdone...She is a strikingly beautiful young woman, why would you alter her look so dramatically?? :(

^Well the photoshoots are meant to promote makeup and fashion brands. A model needs to have a face that can display different types of makeup from subtle to dramatic. Olivia is not that type of model so she was poorly cast if they were intent on displaying such a strong makeup palette.

Very true. heavy eye make-up looks so awkward on her. The last shot isn't as bad as the rest though

Olivia is a perfect example of a pretty face alone doesn't mean you can model. Lots of models are ugly imo but they look great in editorials. I'm no way near an expert but anyone can tell Olivia can't model:yuk: Most celebrities are brilliant at modelling compared to her.

In my opinion Olivia can't model. Period. She should recognize that...As much as she loves doing it, she just can't! and for someone who thinks she knows "everything about fashion" i'm surprised the continues to do it. And I'm even more surprised some magazines continue to choose her.
I never get all this hype for Olivia. She has a pretty face, she used to have some good looks, but now...ohhh boy, what happened? I can't remember a decent look...
she must go back if she doesn't want to be another forgetable piece....

Jesus, what happened to her beautiful face in that Elle editorial?
Wasn't there someone who saw it or told them that it is awful?
Her face looks deformed and old, how could they print it?
I think it is bigger mistake than her modelling is.

Olivia is beautiful but I do miss her fresh faced makeup from before, subtle with only pink lips and cheeks. :crush:

^Actually she was never 'subtle' :D She was just a lot more natural compared to now T_T;

Just found this Stylecaster photoshoot. Her modeling isn't half bad in this one and I'm surprised how good she looks with those blunt bangs - didn't think she was quite so versatile!

beatuiful clothes and great hair, but looks either looks, lost, uncomfortable, frozen or awkward in the face or pose. She is not a very natural model.

Well, I like the makeup in the Stylecaster photoshoot a lot more than in that Elle editorial. I am also loving the bangs, but then again, I do have a soft spot for blunt bangs. They're my kryptonite.

The makeup is fantastic, but I would take a candid of her over any highly photoshopped editorial any day. Photoshoots don't catch her in her best light. Some women only look good in editorials and look mediocre in candids. To me, Olivia is the oppisite. She needs to stop modeling and walk around NYC and look pretty :D
