I think they were in St Barts to go to Roman Abramovich's New Years party, at least that's what they did the year before so she/they must be pretty well connected to go to something like that

I think being well-connected and actually having friends are two different things. Her looks and style get Olivia photographed with the right people and invited to the right events but when it comes down to it she doesn't actually seem to have genuine friendships with the people whose company she seeks.
