Though a somewhat controversial figure on The City, Olivia Palermo remains on our good side due to her sophisticated urban ensembles. For a day of running errands in the, errr, city, Palermo wore Armani Exchange's Cap Sleeve Vest ($98) over a long-sleeved henley, and Daryl K's Stretch Leather Pull-On Pants ($1200). While we love her leather leggings, we're also aware that it's quite a lot to shell out for what some consider to be a questionable bottom option. Nordstrom's Slick Leggings ($68) or ASOS' Gloss Shine Leggings ($31) both have a little sheen and are extra-long like Palermo's pick, but they don't require such a financial commitment. Another thing we appreciate about Palermo outfit is her Sergio Rossi Metallic Lace Up Flats (unfortunately from the brand's 2008 F/W collection), as we've spent many a day trekking through New York City's streets and know that strappy sandals aren't always the most comfortable choice. Razzle dazzle Palermo-style and instead try a silvery shoe from Topshop: we like either the Kameryn Brogue Shoe ($125) or the Meena Pointed Lace Up Shoe ($55).

It's perfectly normal to walk around certain areas of NYC dressed like that actually.

Her style is quite immaculate, but I wish she'd surprise me sometimes. But then again, it's cool she has her own aesthetic kind of.

I feel like she has worn this look many times before... and her hair in a parted bun is getting kinda old... Yet she looks fabulous!

Also love how she is able to mix cheaper pieces with high end brands and still manage to make everything she wears seem sophisticated!

True, she could be going to work or a meeting for all we know. But there are plenty of wealthy girls in the city that dress like that for a casual lunch or day of shopping to be honest; just a way of life and preference I guess

So/so on the last outfit, I think her hair down would've been better with that look
