Conde Nast Traveler - September 2012


Garnering herself a little recognition after helping to launch Haiti's first free high school, Olivia Wilde nabbed a feature in the September 2012 issue of Condé Nast Traveler magazine.

The 28-year-old actress could be seen interacting with children both in and outside of the classroom for the Frank Ockenfels shot pictorial while opening up about her philanthropic work in Haiti.

On co-founding Haiti's first free High School:
“We started so small, and this is such a grand gesture. I’m really excited about the next generation. Philanthropy is no longer just for the rich.”

On getting philanthropic advice from Bill Gates:
“I just had a great conversation with Bill Gates, he said, ‘No, invest your time in Haiti and know your subject well.’ ”

On her "Big Trip":
“Cité Soleil in 2009. I had never seen poverty like that. But Haiti is also so beautiful—it’s important to remember that it’s not just about tragedy.”

Emirates Woman - July 2012



Just weeks removed from the theatrical release of her latest film "People Like Us", Olivia Wilde garnered herself a little overseas exposure by covering the July 2012 issue of Emirates Woman.

The 28-year-old actress brought her sophisticated charm to the magazine scenic spread while dishing about everything from her Revlon gig to having no regrets about her divorce from ex Tao Ruspoli.

On being a spokeswoman for Revlon:
“I’ve always admired Revlon and their commitment to giving women the confidence and tools they need to feel beautiful, both inside and out. Creatively, Revlon has never been afraid to push the envelope, which is important to me. It’s exciting to join a company with a big heart and big ideas.”

On being in such a competitive industry:
"The main hurdle that sums upall the others is how to understand and accept learning rejection."

On getting divorced from Tao Ruspoli:
"The mark of a good marriage is partnership and feeling inspired by your spouse. The end is not neccessarily the tragedy. Living unhappily, that is the tragedy. We're friends; his family is my family."

Is it the lighting of the images or the color of the dress reflecting? She looks very orangey fake tan.

it's just the light. she has a completely normal complexion in every other picture taken this week, though she is darker having spent a week or two on the beach (as shown earlier in the thread with the bikini candids..)
