I looked at the Russian Navy at the pharm yesterday...seemed like it wasn't too sparkly, darker than I expected. But then I got distracted by the halloween pack...

I bought Vodka & Caviar today.. You girls are so good at tempting me!! The store had tons of all the colors from the Russian collection available, a 2 for 1 deal! If I'm still thinking about Russian Navy in one week maybe I'll buy it

I bought a couple of them in Chicago, they're much cheaper than in Australia although harder to find..here they're sold at elite department stores and cost twice as much although some nail salons have it. I'm wearing Cosmo Not tonight, which is nice but a bit plain..and Russian Navy is gorgeous!!

let me just tell you though that russian navy is a real b*tch to get off. it stained my fingertips and didnt come all off until 2 showers later and the manicurist was really scrubbing at my nails & tips with cleaner and remover for awhile... but it is so pretty its worth it.

Vodka & Caviar looked lovely in the bottle but showed up a little orange-y on my nails. The application was gorgeous though. However, I can't say the same for Russian Navy.. it had the gloopiest texture. I still haven't even applied the color on all my nails! Ordered Affair in Red Square off eBay!

I'm a little obsessed with this collection. Right now I have on Catherine the Grape, and I love it! I also have Midnight in Moscow, Suzi Says Da and Russian Navy. Navy is hard to put on, as after using it once or twice it got all goopy.

Midnight in Moscow and Vodka & Caviar look divine as well. OPI has outdone itself!

Affair in Red Square is my favourite. It's replaced I'm Not Really A Waitress, as it is a more vibrant and true red compared to Waitress (which is more on the pink side). It applied beautifully with one coat, and an extra coat made even more fabulous. Added with a top coat, and I received so many compliments, from people describing it as the shade of a candy apple to "it looks like Christmas" My. Favourite.

I really want to give Russian Navy another chance but the application was so frustrating because I also experienced a gloopy polish.

Vodka and Caviar is a lovely color but looked a little bit orange on me sometimes. I suppose it was just my skin tone. Still very nice.

I'm also interested in trying Boris and Natasha and Catherine the Grape. Boris and Natasha looks similar to Lincoln Park After Dark. Can anybody offer suggestions to help distinguish the two?

^^I have both Boris & Natasha and Lincoln Park After Dark - Boris is more of an eggplant purple and Lincoln Park is a very dark burgundy...almost black.

Lincoln Park after Dark is actually a tad darker than Boris and Natasha, and a bit glossier. Boris and Natasha is more like a light creme version of LPAD <img>

I love Russian Navy- you must have gotten a bad one, because mine isn't gloopy at all but you can buy nail polish thinner to make it easier to apply

Thanks for the feedback iLoveCouture and nicky! I bought Boris and Natasha and Catherine the Grape today and can't wait to try them. I'm going to give my Russian Navy another chance and see if the application is any better. I am DETERMINED to love this color. It looks gorgeous in all the photos I have seen.
