This is great. It's lovely to see such acute understanding, such skill, taste, and sense of humour in an New York collection. Well, any collection, really. I think there is no pretention here, just good vibes.
^^Making me happy, that was the purpose of this. My frame of reference for the beauty styling goes back a few decades further than Desperate Housewives, and I'll be interested to see how this gets interpreted in magazines come September.
They look exactly like his clientele, coming in off the street and into The Four Seasons or Le Caprice to some benefit luncheon or raising money with a little cha cha cha in the evening. It's a tongue in cheek parody or sorts ...but then again, not really. Which makes it all the more interesting.
