It was surprisingly really good, wether it was the works of Galliano or not I enjoyed the playfulness, each look evoked mystery and drama! Just simply beautiful!

some of the first looks reminded me a bit of the Burberry shapes, I couldn't see it so I can't have an opinion just yet but the make up was totally Galliano!

You can see the wimsy and magical touch of Galliano in the styling, the make-up, the hair...everywhere! :woot:
This show had magic, the magic that Galliano used to show us, but much more toned down.

Omg, sorry I can't contain my excitement. The collection was utterly exquisite! From the clothes to the hair to the make up everything seemed to have flowed so smoothly, Mean you can really see a dramatic change of the styling compared to s/s 2013. Please if this is really Gallianos doing then I beg of him, stayyyyy!

I missed Galliano so much and I *really* enjoyed this show. Fingers crossed for some HQ's

From McNeil to the final look is when you see John influence on Oscar de la Renta collection. Even the make-up and hair changes (more dark, more Galliano :heart:), from the first girls.

All hail JOHN GALLIANO! :buzz:

You betta girdle your loins, damn.
I saw some beautiful, elegant and rather flattering pieces but overall a very messy and incohesive collection. It looks like it was designed by 4-5 different people. The styling was hit-or-miss. I'd rather ODLR was doing his own thing instead of dealing with Wintour's whims/personal agenda.

The witchy looks with the capes were, by far, my favorite looks in this. Loved that dress on Catherine. You can definitely see the Galliano influence in there.

You're right when you say it wasn't cohesive, because we can easily spot wich looks are from Oscar and wich looks have John's magical touch.
But to see John's work again made me so happy! It made my night!:woot::heart:

nicely done. while some of it may not be my style it's a very nice, wearable collection. I can see it flying off the shelves while also being represented in a lot of editorials.

I didn't like the final dresses (those ballgowns >.<) but it was BEAUTIFUL. I definitely see Galliano's influence here. ODlR would never have put those hats in there in the beginning. While I don't think that John would be a good successor to ODlR (Oscar's old ladies don't mix with Galliano's style) I think this was an excellent blend between these two.

I do wish it was a little more cohesive in styling, but I really enjoyed it. You could tell which gowns Galliano had a hand in and which ones Oscar did because Oscar's looked too embroidered

(I don't want to be that kind of person, but I wonder if people's reactions would have been the same if they didn't knew Galliano had a hand in this.)

It's really hit or miss for me. It's a collection of segments, in a way. It starts out nicely enough with practical, elegant daywear; then it starts to go downhill from the capes onward. The lace dress on Ginta brings it back to good until the slinky evening gowns (best part of the show for me; they're excellent), then it gains volume and it's down again. There's indeed a lot of Galliano in this, the languid shapes and fluid silk/lace dresses are very much his style. Certainly more hits than misses here. It's a mixed bag and could've been more tightly edited, but it's a very nice collection. Nothing sensational, but it works on most aspects.

Some of those snakeskin belts really reminded me of Dior Couture Spring 2011, even the shapes of some of those earlier looks and their respective jackets. You can totally see John's hand in this. The make-up and hair, the dress on Jessica Stam, those hooded cloaks--they all scream John! Such a beautiful collection. I always love what OdlR does anyway, John just enhances it!
