Love the concept of Pete's shoot, but not with him in it. Now if Kaia was the Barbie suntanning, that would be interesting. Is he really that polarising to 'break the internet'? Everybody seems to be talking more about the size of his *clears throat* than anything else. And the sad part is that he actually pose as stiff as a doll in real life so maybe the creative director was being snarky. Love the Thom Browne look though.

Second cover looks like Tiger Beat, the Asian edition. Only, with awful photography (God that picture of them is terrible).

I'm excited to see where the new EIC or team will go with Paper. This is the correct route because Paper looks fresh again, just fine tune the casting.

Oh boy! The first is bad, the second....I thought it was some spam advertising that was posted accidentally. They obviously want to break the internet in the worst way possible.

Pete Davidson is not only unfunny, but he's also unattractive. This silly cover isn't helping him on either of those fronts. How he manages to snag such beautiful women is more mysterious than the appeal of BTS.

The first cover is like someone's trying to remake the Black Hole Sun video, but with extra Barbie references "for the irony" and it's all really cheap and terrible.

I thought the cover would go over well on here because while not cool or hip, it is somewhat unique and fun in a way. Much like Rolling Stone before 2001 (don't come for me, SJWs:(

What she said. I don't mean to be rude, but the guy is so disturbingly ugly that I can't even look at the cover without cringeing. The concept is indeed quite interesting, but he just ruins it for me.

I have fond memories of Paper Magazine from the 90s, when it - and other indie mags - were a great purchase alongside your mainstream Vogues. It's been a long time since I've bought a copy, but I'm glad it's still alive.

The most 90s magazine of all must have been Raygun - imagine launching something like that today. It was an odd size, it was stapled in such a flimsy way it started falling apart after the first read, and the text was unreadable on purpose.

Ray Gun and Nylon! I saw a huge stack of them in a run-down store selling all sorts of unwanted tat and didn't buy it because the lot was in an awful state. Fast forward few years and it's one of the most immensely sought after magazines online (thanks to the Tumblr gen).

I would've liked to see him with Kaia on the cover. That's his only connection to fashion right now anyway.

every time after that Kim cover they are trying to 'break the internet'!

no, hun, you will not break it

How unfortunate. Truly an unappealing cover in almost every way imaginable.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA Do they think they're gonna make a cover iconic enough to break the internet again after Kim Kardashian? The audacity.

I never even thought of them in the same category or even circumstance but it makes so much sense.. both the band and the so called comedian are inexplicably successful and equally irritating (not a lot, but just enough to want to avoid updates).

Show the full monty or nothing at all, you cowards!

In truth, I can’t imagine a less appealing celebrity than Pete Davidson, in terms of comedy, projected personality, and visage. Him dating Kaia the moment she turned 18, and it being his 5th(?) high profile/publicized relationship in the past year or so, speaks to his character.

Well i give to them, they did manage to create two of the most cringeworthy covers i’ve ever seen. I think the one with those ugly boys is almost uncomfortably bad.
