Paris shopping

Shops I'd recommend are

L'eclaireur (Marais & Rue Herold) - for those without fear!
Maria Luisa - Rue Cambon
Spree - Montmatre
Onward - Bvd St Germain
Le Bon Marche - Rue de Bac
Vanessa Bruno - st Sulpice/Rue de Castiglione
Isabel Marant - a few places - Rue Charonne nr Bastille
Colette - St honore (more for people watching than shopping)

there are lots of other cool shops but best just to come upon them - that way you enjoy the surprise....

THEY GOT NEW BRANDS AND THE LUXURY BRANDS.

IN JUNE JULY AND WITH CHRISTMAS THERE'S SALE.
THE SALE FROM THE XMAS GOES TO THE END OF JANUARY.

YOU ALSO GOT A LOT OF VINTAGES PLACES AROUND THESE MALLS.
I DON'T KNOW THE ADRESSES OR THE NAMES, BECAUSE
I JUST WALK RIGHT TO THEM. BUT IS YOU ASK IT OF
JUST WALK AROUND U REALLY WILL FIND THEM.

ALSO CHAMP ELLISEE, I BELIEVE I WROTE IT WRONG,
BUT THATS THE UPPERSIDE STREET
WIL THE HUGE LOUIS VUITTON STORE.
THEY ALSO GOT A MAJOR EXCLUSIVE SHOE STORE OVERTHERE
CALLED BLOND, A SHOP WICH YOU REALLY HAVE TO VISIT.

AT THE PLACE ODEON, THATS A KIND OF PLACE
FOR YOUNG DESIGNERS, ARTIST AND STUFF LIKE THAT.
YOU GOT THERE A LOT OF CHEAP SHOESTORES
AND A LOT OF YOUNG CREATIVES, WHO ARE REALLY CHEAP.

FOR MORE U CAN MAIL ME OR SOME, AND FOR THE ONES WHO

I got a kick out of this thread's title. Avant-garde shopping!

Isn't it the antithesis of ' vintage ' shopping ? ;)

French girls are crazy about Zadig & Voltaire and Vanessa Bruno. Check www. aufeminin.com for their comments if you speak french.

I like the IDEA of Zadig & Voltaire but somehow when I try it on it just bores me.... I have a couple of Z&V things. However, it doesn't bore me as much as juicy couture trackies & vest tops. Its very gamine & the sizing is super small. Z&V has Superb bags actually. washed leather slouchy bags - and good prices.

I can tell it's the 'Eats, shoots and leaves' crowd in here...

Is Galerie Lafayette in Paris swisher than their other stores? Their Berlin store is mind-numbingly conservative the last time I dropped in...

The Boulevard Haussmann store is the BEST - full of designer boutiques and the hottest labels .

Doesn't shoot himself , but books a £9 Ryanair flight to Paris . :ninja:

Great great thread, too bad I might never ever go to Paris.

so true shadow...wish i could speak french..:(

i agree helena...completely...z&g did a very nice bag for la redoute...
i should have bought that...i still think about it...and it was a very good price...boo!...my mistake...

Personally I find Galleries Lafayette boring and the layout messy. I much prefer Au Bon Marché. For a collection of designer labels all under one roof and in one floor, check the second floor of Galleries Au Printemps (next block to Lafayette). You have a display of mini-stands with the best jewellers and fashion designers, mostly showing accessories. It saves time!:D
