This has been around for a while dating back to about 3 years ago, the first brand I saw doing this was RELIGION out of the UK...

But lately I have seen it everywhere, justjuding by the last few fashion shows, and looking in some shops, all streetwear brands, from the underground, to surf, to hip hop have jumped on the bandwagon...

Who likes this fresh breath of life into the tired 'ol tee?? Who thinks tee's have gone overboard??

 Pictures? :ninja:

Sounds like uhm.. homeless-wear. I'd probably buy it though if it was for example Diesel :innocent: They had some weirdly made t-shirts last time I looked.

I think you hit the right look, Diesel is also on the bandwagon making thier versions of "Designer T-shirts"...

As far as homeless goes, I dissagree because some of these items go for $65.00 and up so the homeless couldn't afford to wear them.. he he

OK I browsed the Diesel web site for waaaay too long and I didn't find the stuff I saw at the shops (although I did find a lot of things I really need to buy!)

So this is what I found, hope that it atleast is a little bit on-topic with all those raw edges and random stitches (i saw some VERY random stitches when I was shopping in Stockholm/Helsinki)

Not overboard at all. I think that you can always update the 'ol t-shirt. I love what Diesel does with tees - some are turned inside out and then screen printed on. Carefully placed holes. The offset and distressed screen printing is good. I would like to see more brands take this level with tees. If they don't jump on it, I'm going to do it myself! ;)

i really like that second diesel shirt--the v-neck tank top with the (bleach?) spots on it. on what website did you find it?

i like the trend, though it is rather reminiscent of zoolander . . . need i say derelicte? in other words, i can see some of it getting rather tacky.

I don't like all of it, including some of the examples posted, but overall I think I like some examples that I have seen.

The whole idea of having holes in a shirt reminds of the 80's and glam metal.
