I was in Paris a few days ago.
Went to L'Eclaireur rue Herold (superb shop) and saw his stuff.
Really beautiful clothes, very theatrical but timeless.
Reminded me of Carpe Diem and Carol Christian Poell (L'Eclaireur carries those too)
Any info about him? Thanks

Runner knows about this guy. I tried on one of his jackets in the same shop last year - crumpled linen, lovely. Actually Runner has it I think! He also makes shoes for comme apparently.

Yes, I've seen his stuff. I noticed it's all handmade in Ireland. IF carries it in NYC. I wasn't too keen on it, I like CDiem/Linea much better, and the prices were just crazy.

he used to work for John Lobb and gained his experience there.

you might count on him for linen & tweed stuff.

hey runner,

What kind of prices am I looking at for those Linea jackets like the ones that you wear?

*anticipates answer with trepidation*

you are referring not to his linen jackets but to Linea ones?
I'm afraid we will get sidetracked. some prices should have been mentioned in C diem thread softgrey had founded.

Thanks a ton runner, do you have any other PH images?

I recently saw some his pieces at IF in NY (visiting for 1 1/2 days) and the jackets are astounding.

I tried on a great crumpled and wrinkeled suede jacket in the same form as the one runner has in the most astonishing green-greyish color..
such a pity it was a bit too small (they had sold all men's sizes)

you're welcome raijin

some more

Agreed. Maybe it's the way IF buys it, but I haven't seen anything interesting. And it's uber-expensive.

What kind of prices are those jackets/sh*ts runner? (or anyone else who knows)

Don't remember, but I remember they were hard to swallow. They were in the Carpe Diem vicinity. I will look specifically next time I'm in IF.

this label makes sort of dowdiness or tackiness (right words?) one of the selling points. some pieces might be good as unaffected and unsophisticated clothing which has the flavor of handicraft.

Johnny, about $1500 for jkt, $300-400 for shirt, all hand-worked

I like that grey jacket a lot, since I tried on a similar one.
maybe its suede as well, I would love one like that or a light colored wool version

Faust, I do think you need to see the pieces in real life -
apparently at IF all the good menswear by him vanishes in a couple days.
Some pieces are not my style, but the jackets are very cool and the cut is great.

Also, runner where do you recommend buying hardnen in tokyo?
I remember you mentioning his 'sarrouel' pants, what are those like?
