I'm 14, and I'm going to get my first perfume. My mom always said it was too "grown up" before for me, but now I get to choose my own. But I have some questions: Whats a scent that would fit a teenage girl, classic but not tawdy, girly, light but still a little sexy. Since I want a signiture scent, I would rather not have anything overly common. Love for all the suggestions.

:lol:i know how you feel i only got my first perfume at christmas last year a few weeks after I had turned 14. What I got was Ralph Lauren Cool...but everyone has that so I'm not suggesting that. Marc Jacobs blush is quite pretty, it's a little bit of floral with a lemony tang, if you are into a more natural scent.

ralph Lauren Romance smells really nice in the magazine....but in real life..it didn't smell that great. But then I'm no expert at smell perfume.

This is what I love doing because I can't decide on a perfume. I go through all my vogues, bazaar's etc. All those mags with the free smaple coupons in them and rip them out then take them to the counter. Then I have lots of samples:P I mix then sometimes too:lol:

How about Chanel Chance? it's very cute and fresh ^_^

ohh i'm going to try that!!! ARGH..i completely forgot to go smell it!!

Thanks! I'm interested in Marc Jacobs blush, I'll have to check that one out, too. Chanel Chance is the same as Chanel No. 5, correct? Do you think thats too "mature" and "sophistacated" in a classic way for a teenager?

Coco Mademoiselle is also a really nice perfume. It's not as strong as Coco and in my opinion smells better:flower:.

Chanel Gardenia, without a doubt, is the best perfume ever :flower:

Hanae Mori is an interesting smell... Also try Stella McCartney's perfume.. both good choices IMO

Charlie Red is a very nice perfume, its got that nice light smell,i think its perfect for you! there is loads of charlies ect charlie red, charlie gold, but Charlie red i think is best for you :flower:.You can get it in body spray 2 :d

no, it's a different perfume (Anne V does the ads) it's quite 'young' in that way, less heavy than No.5, it's very cute :flower:

and I agree with lunabella YSL babydoll is a great choice ^_^

I personally like Chanel Coco Mademoiselle, Gucci Envy, Chanel No. 5, Chanel Cristalle, or Rochas Fleur D'eu. But I don't pretend to be very knowedgable towards perfumes... :flower:

BelleChic, hi. Get something that smells good. That YOU like.

Sometimes men's perfumes smell really good.

You should try some by Gucci (Rush, Envy). I think Coco Mademoiselle is a little too heavy for a 14 year old, I can smell it from 4 mtrs when someone is wearing it. (and I love so that's fine :P)

You might want to try Tartine et Chocolate by Givenchy...It's a childrens perfume, so it's light and it's very sweet...I wear it sometimes. You can try it at Sephora :flower:

Personaly...i love Light Blue by Dolce and Gabanna, Coolwater by Davidoff, Clinique Happy,Organza by Givenchy, and Jadore by Dior......i wear any one of these, but usualy for day to day, it's coolwater or clinique, cause they are a bit lighter, Light Blue is my fave, but it's a little too "formal", and organza is really strong, Jadore is very pretty

I would recommend, for the upcoming Summer months, Ralph by Ralph Lauren... it has an extremely fresh, sweet smell to it. I have worn it for years
