Looking for a fragrance/perfume..

I've been looking for something that'll smell like or even remind me of deep red roses.
I know that might be a bit too much to ask for :innocent::unsure: but i adore that smell.
Any suggestions?

ok i havent bought this but a while ago i had a 'rose cardin' tester card and i put it in my hand bag. now it smells AMAZING in my opinon very much like red roses i have then im my garden.

so hmmm try rose cardin

ok im 13, 14 in a month and for my birthday i want a new perfume. ive done this since i was 10(clinique happy(10), clique happy heart(11),ralph lauren ralph(12), CKIN2U(13)) now im looking for something a little different. my previous scents have been girly, fresh, young. im not saying i want like chanel no5 or anything as strong as that. can someone suggest something for me to try??

^ How about Calvin Klein Euphoria? It has more of a musky, spicy scent to it than those you mentioned.

here's sephora's 'notes' on it:
"Strawberry, Violet Leaves, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Gardenia, Violet Petals, Jasmine Petals, Musk, Vanilla, White Woods."

How about:

Jo Malone Red Roses Cologne

Composed of seven types of roses from around the world, red roses is a surprisingly clean, voluptuous scent. With a heart of crushed violet leaves and hints of lemon and spearmint, it unfolds like a bouquet of fresh-cut flowers.

Or, Serge Lutens makes one:

I own Givenchy Very Irrésistible and is smells of roses. So lovely!
L'Occitane also has a rose based scent that smells pretty delicious.

i'm looking for a frag that is really creamy, maybe even milky. Tom Ford's Black Orchid is really nice because it smells so creamy (imo) but i'd need something more male.

You know what I would recommend is either going into department/perfume stores and sampling perfume in person or buying perfume samples online. The drawback to this is that many department stores that aren't in New York City, LA, Chicago, etc don't always have the greatest selections of perfumes. Because of this limitation, you may want to try online perfume retailers that specialize in perfume samples.

What I would recommend is trying perfume samples of fragrances you are interested in. This way your pocketbook won't be hurt if you find a fragrance you may not like. Perfume samples are cheap ($1.00 - $5.00) and you can try many different perfumes until you find the right one.

We recently posted an article on our site about how to properly test perfume samples. It's a pretty involved process that is somewhat similar to sampling wine. We recommend following these directions to prevent olfactory burnout during the sampling process.

lucky for me, there are perfume shops in Vienna which fill up samples for free. so basically, i can go through all kinds of fragrances over a long period without paying anything.

i think there have to be shops even in the states where salespeople can fill a small vial with the juice one is looking for. maybe just ask kindly?

yeah in melbourne we have alot of testers and samplers.

umm thanks guys. i dont mind marc jacobs daisy but my friend has it, i dont really want a scent crossover at school or when we go out. i like euphoria... but i kinda want to get away from CK.

wat do think about dior??

Unfortunately, you don't see something like that everywhere. You might be able to do this in LA or New York but in the smaller cities you chances are it won't happen.

In the department stores they have testers you can wear or spray a bit on paper to smell. You can't really do something like this like you can in say Paris.

lol

still, melbourne is a MAJOR Australian city.

i never understood the concept of putting perfume samples behind the counter. from what i am used to (Vienna, London, Hong Kong, Airport Duty Free shops), testers are on bright display and you can spritz to your heart's delight

having to ask the SA about a scent, a sample spritz or the price is just too much hassle.....

Also, if anyone wants a very subtle scent, try Chanel Chance.

I was wondering if any ladies here have used mens perfumes?
I loved the smell of Hugo Boss for men but I'm a girl, I know it sounds silly but I dont know how it would be like if I smelled like a guy.

Actually, it's quite common.

Just keep in mind men's cologne is just a marketing scheme to make hetro males feel more comfortable with wearing perfume.
