Perfume Recommendations - Looking for a perfume that smells like...

When you like the exotic part you can use Broze Goddess of Estee Lauder... Otherwise the Dior Sweet Sun but that one is more intense....

The fragrances by CLEAN are just really stunning!! Just try!!

I'm looking for a light floral scent. Something I can wear on the subway without feeling like a pompous a**.

The one you are looking for is Essence by Narciso Rodriquez....

Topnote is white musk, Middle is Iris, Base of powdery elements

^ For a light fragrance, try Fresh ...

So the last fragrance I bought was based on a recommendation (or a mention I guess that I turned into a recommendation :P) here ... Pure Coffee. Tried it, loved it (although the sample more so than the full size--they were different). I also have Poison, which I've been wearing since it came out, Fresh Hesperides, and Encore (Alfred Sung, believe it has been discontinued now).

I'm looking for something new for fall ... any ideas? I'm thinking something a little richer and heavier for the colder weather ... I want something I can wear day and night. (Of course all that requires is just doing it ) Maybe a men's fragrance again?

Well... if you can stomach the price, I think Guerlain's Bois d'Armenie is likely to meet your approval. It's a benzoin incense scent, smoky and just a little sweet, and very intoxicating IMO.

Slightly more available and slightly less expensive is Serge Lutens Chergui, which is a plummy leather, very warm and rich.

And again, pricey, but Chanel Bois des Iles is a beautiful perfume (and I do recommend the parfum over the EdT).

For some reason I am not coming up with anything readily available or very reasonably priced. I will keep thinking about it. :flower:

ETA: YSL Elle. Readily available and reasonably priced. Notes (via Sephora:(
Cedrat, Peony, Lychee, Pink Berries, Freesia, Jasmine, Patchouli, Vetiver, Ambrette.

anyone have opinions about CB "I hate perfume"...?
I am trying out there scents and cant make up my mind... any ideas about mixing or layering there accords?

As someone said earlier, Marc Jacobs' Daisy would be a great perfume for the thread author. I think it's hard for someone who is 14 to wear perfume without seeming pretentious or overindulged, but Daisy is such a young scent that I think it would be appropriate for someone that age. It's very clean and has no hint of powder at all.

I mean, I'm 20 and it feels too young for me. When my 1.7 EdP of Daisy runs out, I think I'm going to graduate to MJ's Lola, which is like Daisy but with a little more character.

I think issey miyake summer is a young scent that I love to wear even if I'm kind of allergic to it (that how good it is)
Look by Vera wang is also really nice and even better I'm not allergic to that one.

I'm trying to find a new perfume now that I'm running very low on Coco Mademoiselle, but I can't seem to find anything that I love...

any suggestions for something very fresh, light, not necessarily fruity or floral per se, but something that makes you think spring is here :P (I'm getting quite nostalgic for spring/summer now that it's starting to get a bit colder)

there's a perfume called Éclat d'Arpège by Lanvin, It's a beautiful light fresh smell, it's kind of similar to DG Light Blue...but it's much more pleasant than strong. For some reason, they don't sell them anywhere in stores. When I used to work in a perfume store, this was the best seller. I definitely suggest anyone who likes light perfumes that are not overwhelming but pleasant and fresh to check this out if you ever come across this.

For anyone looking for a fruity/floral smell, Salvatore Ferragamo has a nice selection of one that is fruity, one that is floral, and one that has a combination of both called Incanto Shine. It's very popular as well.

Versace Bright Crystal & Marc Jacobs Daisy are also wonderful light smells. Both are light fresh floral scents. I love them both.

Squirting Cucumber from BPAL (Fresh cut grass and cucumber, almost like cucumber melon from Bath and Body Works but without the fake chemical smell) or if you don't mind something a little heavier Envy (Mint, lime and lavender) from BPAL.

^ Thank you both so so much, I'm going to go and try those tomorrow, hopefully I'll end up buying one :flower: karma for you both ^_^

Vanilla. Preferably just vanilla. I currently use Il Profvmo in Vanille Bourbon but I'm low and Harvey Nichols don't sell it anymore and I don't know where else to buy it. I love it I have been told I smell of baking, ice creams, chocolate and fairy cakes. I want to carry on smelling of buns! Haha

I was choosing between the new Bvlgari BVLII and Givenchy Ange ou Démon Le Secret. I went for Le Secret, it's much more distinctive, not so boring as BVL (which is also very nice, but nothing special), love it!

has chanel ever released a fragrance called "candy"? I'm pretty sure it's fake but i've seen it around a couple of times..
