Perfume Recommendations - Looking for a perfume that smells like...

I love rose perfumes and in particular Paul Smith's Rose. But I want something a bit heavier and sexier - any recommendations?
Some suggestions:
Very Irrésistible by Givenchy
Les 4 Reines by L'Occitane
Rose Essentielle by Bulgari
The Rose Angel by Thierry Mugler
Rock'n'Rose by Valentino
:flower:

Rock n' Rose is so... meh, a bit boring
Rose Essentielle smells like cough syrup
[just my humble opinion]
Try 'Stella' or 'Stella Rose Absolute' by Stella McCartney

I'd like a perfume that smells like the sea, something "summery" anyway, any suggestions?
Has anyone tried the Comptoir Sud Pacifique scents?

The closest thing I can think of is The Different Company's Sel de Vetiver; while it is predominantly a vetiver fragrance, there is a salty component reminiscent of seawater dried on skin. If you like vetiver you are likely to like this, I think.

A knowledgeable friend suggested Estée Lauder Beyond Paradise. He describes it as "aquatic floral." I have never smelled it myself, but I am guessing it shouldn't be too hard to find a sample. :flower:

I have no experience with Comptoir Sud Pacifique.

Let us know if you find something that satisfies!

^ A coffee fragrance? I must know details!

It's by Thierry Mugler, and it's under the Angel brand I believe--it's a men's fragrance. If you do a search, you should find the original discussion--Alejandro told me about it. I think he said other notes are tobacco & patchouli. It's quite nice ...

^ Thank you for the information. Going by your description and others I've read, I'd love to smell it in person!

You might ask the ferry to bring you a sample of Bond No. 9 New Haarlem, as well; it is another coffee fragrance, with amber, cedar, lavendar and vanilla.

It costs about three times as much as the Mugler, though. I haven't tried either, yet, so can't say more than that.

^^^^ Damnit, that's another I want to try and of course it's not available here. I don't like buying things without smelling them first (especially at Bond No. 9 prices).

Anyone have experience with Ineke Artisan Perfume from San Francisco? I saw their ad on tFS & thought about ordering the sample kit. They sell their perfumes in the US & overseas so I thought perhaps someone here might have used it.

Another fragrance w/a coffee note is Black Vetyver Café by Jo Malone. I love it & I know men wear it also...I love all Jo Malone's fragrances :crush:

Here's the description...
Born from Jo’s passion to create the perfect coffee note, Black Vetyver Café is a rich, sensual scent. The bitter character of the coffee bean is steeped in earthen notes of vetiver, temple incense and sequoia - one of the oldest and most awe-inspiring trees in the world.

i wonder why its more expensive than other perfumes. (80,- EUR)
