Okay first off I HATE this way of presenting clothes.

You don't like runway shows? I'd never heard that before. How would you rather clothes be presented?

I think they're talking about the "artistic" lighting that fooled us into believing that Peter Do was capable at designing with colour.

I really want to like Peter Do, but I can't help but feel underwhelmed by his recent collections.

His first four collections (Spring 2019 - Fall 2020) seemed to have something interesting to say. They were obviously influenced by Philo's Céline, but his clothes had their own distinct voice by being visceral, sexy, sharp, almost humourous at times.

This, compared to his earlier work, is drowning in the sea of Proenza-Schouler, The Row, MM6 and the landfills of mid-market brands that fetishize the concept of the working woman.

Perhaps this is because buyers and press might be trying to mold him into a new Philo. An idea that might not be the best, considering her comeback.
