Phillip Lim Leaves "development"

I personally think the previous photos i posted don't really do the clothing justice... you can also see his fall collection on his website, with much much much better photos for you to decide if you like it or not.

i like the first grey top though...and the black trench...

There are definitely better pictures out there, but it IS really hard to find the stuff online... I remember a few years ago there were some great pieces online somewhere, but the name of the site escapes me and it probably doesn't even exist anymore.

The clothes are very simple, and not the kind of thing I would wear, but I appreciate them, and they tend to be thoughtful and quiet.
 
so what is his thing? what is his market? I don't understand. It looks like uptown chic to me.
 
I'm not entirely in love with his collection... but I do find some pieces workable.

The fall collection was about my move to New York City - a new life, new envoirnment, new friends.

Kate Moss and Charlotte Gainsbourg.

3. What were your inspirations?
George Tice's photographs from 1953-1999.

4. What's the key accessory for fall?
A pair of classic black pumps by Christian Louboutin - but next season I'm going to be adding shoes to my own collection."

so he seems to be adding shoes...
