Oh that's so cool. But yes I would never treat my mags like but oh well. I love how she puts every thing under the table,what a great way for storage yet still showcasing them.

Yes, if you're standing on them in stilettos, flinging them around and slapping them on the floor, you have no love for magazines.

She's standing and chucking them around, and they still look as if they are in immaculate condition.

I just don't think the table idea is a good one. If she ever wants to read through an old issue she'll have to take the entire table apart. However, judging by the way she treated them before putting the table together, I guess she doesn't read through her old VPs.

The table is a cool idea, not very practical as nyc_art_style said, but still cool But the way she treated those magazines was so disrespectful...you just can't step on a VP

Whoa radoglc, I can't wait to see pictures of your magazine collection. I'm sure it'll be quite impressive! And I love that you have those FW06 Dolce & Gabbana ads up there, those are probably among my favourite ads ever!

The first time i went to the biggest vintage magazine shop in Paris i have spent 3 days there and left 1500 euro! Do not ask me how i got on the plane to go back home!

And I know what you mean. When I went to London, I went bananas and bought like 15 mags at once since they're a lot cheaper than here. I had to beg my friends to store them in their suitcases for the ride back because I didn't want to pay for extra weight.

I'm also curious - where is this fantastic vintage magazine shop in Paris that you speak of?

radolgc, I envy you 'cause you have those F/W 06 Dolce & Gabbana's ad campaign catalog! I suppose that's not your whole collection..??? I mean, you've been collecting since 1986 so I guess you have this VERY HUGE collection of fashion magazines. Can't wait to see them!

But most people(will never figure out why) insist of keeping the magazine complete and they often think i am killing it when i ripp it off, but the stuff is exactly the same no matter if it is in or out of the magazine!

I too have had to rip up magazines - because of space restrictions - but I'd rather not, if it can be avoided. I consider vintage magazines as things which cannot be replaced, so every time one disappears because someone has ripped it up, that's one less issue in the world that we can never get back in its entirety.

If I keep an old issue intact, it means it is still 'alive' as a while, and I am able to hand it on to someone else in the future, and they will enjoy different parts of the magazine than I did.

Oh yes, and it's an issue that most magazine collectors will face. I think we all dream of living somewhere with enough space to dedicate a room to our magazines and books - a modern library - but for many of us, it simply isn't possible, either because we don't have the space, or we need to move often, and god knows that magazine removal is a heavy-duty business involving much time and back-strain (and helpers who comment about how much money you must have spent on them).

Of course, then you get to the point where you have innumerable folders, and you have to start a system for keeping order amongst those.

Here is my updated magazine collection. I cleaned my room so I put all the magazines on the floor. I also bought new shelves which I think is already breaking.
