^ Wow, not bad! I'd like to collect any magazines, If in my city would be any major magazines -_-

I am having a dilemma with my supplements too!
I cant throw them away
I don't like keeping them all in one section
And I don't like keeping them next to the magazine they came with cos it interrupts the issue flow (did I just invent a magazine term?!)
What to do?!

I have a question, what does everybody do with supplements? Which ones do you save, which ones do you toss, etc.

I've saved every single supplement I've ever gotten. I've piled them up and made a table, and put a lamp on ^_^.
Surprisingly it looks really nice and it saves some space.

Thanks guys- this is great!! Kind of like being a drunk and finding other people who love to drink!!!
(I won't mention the number of Vogues I thrashed when I moved a couple of years ago...I will never forgive myself!!)

I have a question guys and sorry if it isn't appropriate for this thread. I'm about to buy my first Vogue Italia purchase and my question is is it worth it? I mean I read every magazine I buy but obviously VI isn't in English.

^ My impression is it is very much worth it- I love the pictures in the UK, Paris and Italian Editions!! ;)

I only own 3 Italian Vogue, Vogue Italia Jan 09, May 09, and Jan 10. I bought my first Vogue because it was the first time I had seen an Italian Vogue and I just HAD to have it. The second which was May 09 with Sasha P on the cover was a MUST buy for me because the cover was just beautiful. And the third one, Jan 10, was the one that dissapointed me... the cover was great and all Karlie Kloss falling on the runway, awesome, but I realized that I didn't like the way Vogue Italia does their layouts and segments... its all too dark. So as you can see I manly bought those VI's for the covers, I dont understand Italian either but sometimes VI makes great covers but lately I have not been interested in one.

^ i kind of feel the same. i only have a few, but i only bought the ones i have because my favorite model was inside/on the cover. i think vogue paris is 10x better, but that is only my opinion.

When I only had a few international issues on my first set, here's a rundown of most of my international copies

I'm missing two i-D issues and AnOther S/S 10 cos I sold it to AgrenateD..

And i'm in the middle of cleaning my room at this hour so..

Ahh I've been finding that particular issue of Wallpaper* with Baptiste on the cover here but I can't seem to find any! Want to sell it to me? ^_^

Has anyone been a little funny about people seeing your collections? I had to move a few years back (before I got rid of a lot of magazines...) and two teenagers helped to move the bundles of Vogues...there were over a hundred of them; I'm sure these guys thought I was very strange...!:blush:

^Haha I know exactly what you mean. I am moving out in a few weeks time and although I have my magazines all over my room it makes me think what my parents must think of me. What they must think of their daughter spending all her money on magazines... although I suppose it could be worse... I could be spending it on other things.
I have a question though for those who have lived in a dorm room before... how do you keep your magazines organized their (I mean their is very little space)? I have a few special ones which I want to bring with me (such as my Lula's, Industrie, ect.) and then I know I'll buy more throughout the year however I am afraid it will just pile up and leave me with no room! :)

I'd say so, but I rarely read the articles in most English fashion magazines. If I want interesting articles I don't go to fashion magazines. But for the editorials, if you like them, I would definitely say it's worth it.

^ There's a very good outfit called 'Bags Unlimited' that I've dealt with for years; they have a very nice website and just about anything ever imagined for collections, storage and so on! Highly recommended!! :flower:

i do not have enough space to keep all my fashion magazines. (the only magazines i keep and collect are sassy magazine and readymade magazine).

however i think i am going to get into the habit of scanning important ads, stories etc.

^ Yes- the ads are what started it all for me...I bought the magazines for the ads, then it became the editorials, then any of my favorite models, then designers, then I didn't want to cut them up so I would buy two copies...!!! :o Maybe we need some sort of fashion collectors 12 step program...

My current collection. I only cherish the magazines with models on covers, the others are on a table.

Sign me up for that 12 step program! I know its bad and I shouldn't spend all my money on magazines but it can't be helped. I don't obsess over anything else to this extreme but my reasoning behind it all is, "its okay since I'm educating myself on the industry I want to work in."
I started buying magazines when I was younger ever since my American Girl magazine phase, then it was my Teen People mag phase, Elle Girl (RIP... it was such a good mag), then Teen Vogue and Vogue, and now its just a free-for-all! I buy any magazine which interests me but my main collections are of Teen Vogue, Nylon, Vogue (American and British so far), Lula, Elle (American and British), and The New Yorker. I've also bought single issues of certain magazines because the content for that issue was so good (magazines like; POP, Industrie, Bon International, Marie Claire, Bust, Time, ect.) Seriously though, none of my friends or family understand my magazine habit and tend to think I'm crazy for spending the amount of money which I do on them. Glad to see I'm not the only one! :)
