Does anyone know the real story about stacking books and magazines horizontially instead of standing them up? Is that a real issue or is it just for the lunatic fringe of collecting (as with Karl...)?
I think stacking them horizontally is supposed to be better for the health of the magazine, because they lie flat instead of a bit open like they are when they are vertially stored. But I can't decide which to do with my own personal collection. 1/2 of my magazines are divided into piles on my bedroom floor now.
