Pictures Of Your Magazine Collection

a carpenter specialy made this for me, with thick shelves, with wall anchors. Im veryy happy with it!!!! ;)))

I am fascinated at how immaculate and solid those shelves look, I'm facing a dilemma of one collapsing with substantial weight. At first, I couldn't fault them, until a shelf buckled under the pressure. Were those made especially peter1980?
Collapsing shelves... I know the pain.

Wow Peter1980! That's a stunning collection! Have you ever counted how many magazines you have? I think the last time I counted my collection it was like 150-200 magazines. And of course my mom was horrified when I told her how many I had. :lol:

Around 2200 magazines, books and catalogs. I collect for 17 years now, but i only collect magazines with a great cover and great editorials. And ONLY models. I have no magazines with people like jennifer aniston!! ;))))

Great collection. I'm impressed!!! BTW you have some more space for clothes, right? :p:D

the vogue china collection is amazing i am soo jealous. i wish that we didn't have uk vogue here and that china was cheaper :lol:

I keep only covers of the magazines. I keep them in 3-hole binders in protective folders. Here are the pictures. I have no idea how many covers I have, maybe between 200 and 300. Or maybe more. I never counted actually. Most covers are Cosmopolitan (my favorite!), also ELLE and Vogue (both are various editions) and other glossy magazines.
Comparing to collections of people posting here, I might not have as many as them, but I am 20 and my time is about to come. :)

People, i wouldn't recommend you keeping your magazines one on another (especially a big stack). Chemical reactions between papers (for example between cover of one issue and back cover of another that was put on the previous one, if you understand me) might occur in future, and mags can be damaged (paper might in-curve, colours might change or the pages might stick one to another)

And I bite the dust of the covers with napkins from time to time (but gently, even napkins can scratch the cover). I drench one piece of napkin, clean the cover, and then clean it with a dry one.

Also, i look at this thread, it is really lovely. I hope and I pray the magazine industry won't die one day. !!!!

I just got rid of all of my HB, Elle, W, Town & Country and InStyle- I simply couldn't put them anywhere when I moved (even the walls I might have stacked them on had heat registers, so it was hopeless)...It was sad, but I tried to tear out great ads, eds and covers as best I could; needless to say I kept all of my Vogues... ^_^

Those plastic sleeves will damage your covers over time, unless they are archival quality.

@MissMagAddict
Yes, I know, mine sleeves are PP (polypropylene) that doesn't cause chemical reactions in the future :)

i keep all my magazines in my net a porter shopping boxes... they were to beautiful to throw out and i have a lot of them so i decided to put them to good use! I use the tissue paper that you receive in the boxes to separate the magazines and although it sucks i can't have them on display (i don't have a bookshelf or much room really to display them though... but one day!) it really saves room and i still get to keep the pretty boxes

Omg I so love this thread, and I love all the people who posted here! :) :) Amazing!
