Pictures Of Your Magazine Collection

So here is my pride, collecting since 1997 when I was just a child

All magazines, photo books, tons of rare fashion catalogs and collectible items from 1970s until now, I am especially passionate about 90s era so there is tons of stuff from this time. I didn’t count yet and they re not really in the order cause I plan the renovation in my house or maybe move to another apartment, but it’s round 10 000 items together. Every pale has Another row behind which is not really visible from pictures.
Concerning titles and years
Vogue Paris 1973- until now
Vogue italia 1980- 2015
Vogue japan 2003-2014 (until George cortina left)
Vogue US some from 70s80s most from 1994-2007
Vogue UK 1994-2010
Vogue Ukraine 2014-2019
Numero from very first issue in 1999 and until 200 issue
Mixte 1997-2004
W 1996-2017
Allure 1995-2000
Dutch all 40 issues
The face all issues 1992 until the last in 2004
I-d all issues 1993-2014 and now since mckimm became EIC I start over buying it
Loads of bi-annual indie magazines with long history (was indie back then but they just started this indie vale) 032c, purple, purple fashion, another, arena homme, Self service, pop, dust, cr fashion book, holiday, replica, re-edition, mastermind, a magazine, frank, man about town, antidote, industrie, double etc
Plus loads of fashion catalogs with ad campaigns like Loewe, Jil sander, Chanel, missoni and many more (this is special part because they have great art direction and looking like holistic work more than magazines)
And photo books mostly from independent publishers and with limited run (idea publishing house, Damiani, taschen and so on)

What a collection. I'd post mine here too but I got mine stored in various different places it would be crazy to drag them all out. Its collection that I've started building a few months ago.

So far I got Elle February 2020, Elle March 2020, Marie Claire December/January, Marie Claire February 2020, Marie Claire March 2020, Along with a few Sports Illustrated. I also bought V Magazine's limited edition bundle at the beginning of this year, as well as Vogue Paris March 2018 and March 2019, and then just arrived the other day Vogue Paris May 2019.

Its about all I can fit at this point. I'm planning on selling off all of the Marie Claire issues as they dont really interest me too much. I recently got approved for SSI so hopefully I'll be able to find a place where I have all the space in the world to build it.

Wow! Good luck with the move.

If you are able to and have the time, I'd love to see some Dutch Magazine scans. They seem to be around $100 USD per issue on ebay.

I need to fix my iMac and I finally found professional non contact scanner to scan fast easy in hi-res and do not damage paper. So as soon as I fix all of this - I will start the digitalization of my archives. The way I done scanning before is too old fashion and bad for magazines so I stopped doing it a while ago.

Hi @Alien Sex Friend Is there any way you have scans from issue #27 of Dutch Magazine, I was in this issue when i was 13 years old but I cannot remember which story I just remember having the issue and looking at the Lone Star cover story over and over again i was completely mesmerized by that steven meisel shoot and the model with his acrylic fingernails. I would love to find the story i was in as well. Any lead appreciated!

I realize now that was shot by Michel Comte. I think it was in one of the two issues from 2002. It was shot in NYC, a black and white studio shoot with kind of punk styling. I was in the shoot as a 14 year old baby model and I would love to see the images again! I had thought it was issue #27 but I realized that was the issue they gave me on set to take home and it was a later issue- either #37 or #38. Does a shoot like that ring a bell?

Guys! I have to make a renovation in my house so gotta move my magazines.

How did you make it,
which boxes did you use (and how much kilos do they support)?
Did you use bubble wrap for this and which one is the most convenient and how much length does it take to pack one pile?

I've been meaning to show off my collection for the longest time, and this is what I have collected thus far aside from some from subscriptions. Its going to get a crap ton bigger this week.

Me too! I’m moving in 4 weeks! I’m so excited about the whole thing apart from the mag move any advice would be welcome!

Ugh moving my magazines was hell! I actually put them in regular boxes and only bubblewrapped the most precious ones. The rest I moved usually putting the most sturdy magazine or book at the bottom. Luckily I was moving with my dad so I could tell him to be gentle wit the boxes and not throw them around :D

I’m about to move and I’ve started packing up my magazines. I’m already at more than 30 boxes. Why did I thought it would be a good idea to collect magazines
Oh my God 30 boxes? Good luck. I will soon have to be moving mine as well but luckily it's all that mostly be able to shove in my desk cabinets and a few boxes outside of them. I won't be moving out like I hoped at the beginning of the year as with social security it became pretty clear that I would not be able to afford it and my living situation has somewhat improved, but I will soon start moving to a bigger room in the house will give me plenty of room and hey a bookshelf I where I can finally take them out of their packaging and put them on!

I ended up with 45 boxes in total for all my magazines :ninja:

Will certainly be nice when it actually happens, but at the moment its full of stuff that isnt mine and she isn't exactly in the condition to move them and even after she recovers it may still take a while.

Hi guys!

I have been following this thread forever, but I was too shy to share my collection. I am so glad to have found a community that have the same obsession for fashion magazines. I have been collecting magazines since 2009 (Vogue Paris and French Numero are the one that I have been collecting consistently, but generally I love magazines that have interesting covers/rare).

I moved to Tokyo about 5 years ago, but sadly I couldn't bring them with me (my parents are guarding for me at the moment :innocent:) Here is my current collection (with extra secret shelves)

PS. I have also recently moved to a new neighbourhood and I thought that 9 boxes was a lot, but you guys beat me
I was wondering how much it cost you to ship (in my case, it was about 250USD including everything else)

Love you guys, and happy New Year to you all
