Random thoughts about the appointment:
- Watch PPP discontinue all the Demna sneakers and hoodies as soon as he steps in the office on July 10
- Gabriele Cusimano back as PPP right hand, I like it
- It would be hilarious to see original Valentino trio (PPP, Sabato, Cusimano) reunite with floppy Sabato being called back after the Gucci fiasco but we all know this not gonna happen
- First major designer appointment from Kering, you know big bucks were spent
- PPP makes more sense at Balenciaga rather than Gucci...Gucci is more Maria Grazia honestly
- Waiting for Kim Kardashian, Nicole Kidman, Isabelle Huppert, Naomi Watts to be announced as new Gucci ambassadors while Balenciaga will announce Florence Pough

It will be boring flat like the new BV and his old Valentino sure lots of pretty dresses and now that Valentino is quirky Balenciaga will be the new pretty princes non offensive brand mens wear will suffer.

PPP discontinue all the Demna sneakers and hoodies ?...no he cant its top sellers category ...also lets not forget his valentino rockstud sneakers and hoodies with logo he is no saint when it comes to merch design.

He is less expensive than alessandro and demna got more than him for doing gucci also Balenciaga's brand turnover reached €1.66 billion as the its slightly bigger that valentino.Valentino's revenues dipped by 3% to €1.31 billion

With PPP I expect a 360 from Demna. So I guess Demna fans will really lean into his Gucci. How boring…

you do know that Demna is going to Gucci if that's a kick to the curb then more CD´s want to be kicked to a curb :-)

we can't say that PPP made fashion happen more than Demna objectively (and i am not a big fan of both )

I personally was wishing for Pieter or Daniel cause I find them more exciting fashion wise, but this makes sense. Balenciaga desperately needed someone that would clean up the house, and bring some class back. Pierpaolo is a perfect person to do that. I can’t wait to see what he does for couture there.

Very pleasantly surprised at the negative reactions here, to be completely honest. IMO, any creative director is better than the trite Demna served up at Balenciaga. All I require from Pierpaolo Piccioli is for him to inject some glamour, elegance, and sophistication back into Balenciaga - and I'm confident he will do just that.

i see he did art direction of the bts on the street pics for last gucci cruise show .....i don't see him at Balenciaga if at gucci the result was so basic.

PPP will want someone new as he left Valentino for gucci ...but you never know these people love to keep the same company even id they are not the best at their work

with demna arrival he should be out at least and free to go to balenciaga lol
