Pierpaolo Piccioli - Designer, Creative Director of Balenciaga

That is what happens when you have someone who doesn't know how to use a pair of scissors in charge of a house with couture heritage.

Same problem at Dior.
Same problem at Chanel.

I expressed my doubts one year ago, before this whole sloppiness started.

I was told that seamstresses and petites mains don't necessarily have a "vision".

Well, then let us enjoy the vision! 🤭

Almost every single look that we've been seeing in the last months by a major house needs adjustements.
They are technically lacking.

I do wonder if those CDs know where their ateliers are or if prototypes are just brought in and out by the interns.

Your atelier can only be as good as the one with a vision the creative director that say: no i want the shoulder more shaped like this or that .... more fitted opposed to ohh its fine next ....

I am sure some people that did RAF first HC are still there those suits were sharp as a knife even MGC had well tailored classic clothes.

The sloppy mess we see now is the taste of the creative director that say no its modern like this!!! not perfect !!!! modern break the mold baby 🤦‍♀️

The drap and cut is the hand of the creative director we say how things fit and fall.

Yeah that look is just plain embarrassing. Insane it even made it to the carpet. It’s just completely unredeemable.

And I agree his debut was bad. I mentioned disliking the ‘play with texture’ trend and it was one of the worst offenders. At least Trotter’s actually looked kind of interesting. He didn’t even manage that.

"Rihanna is wearing the new Balenciaga bathroom line: pink plastic shower curtain with pink plastic shower cap. Available only in selected stores worldwide."

Why do the crowds take him more seriously than Demna, I mean PPP is definitely not considered visionary as NG/Demna or anything but oh god, they act like he just pulled Balenciaga out of the mud. He is on MGC level if not less witty and less commercially viable, he's just there. He doesn't give me the same obnoxious feeling as A.Michele but man, he is really the least interesting designer of that generation of Italian designers. People may have a grudge against Dolce because they were problematic af, but PPP will never reach their level (I'm not even talking about their 90s and 00s) or Pilati's. I can't believe people can look at this debut today and say he's one of those faces that healing the fashion world.
