Apparently Vivienne did special research into old cutting techniques to work out why pirate trousers had crinkly crotches...personally I just thought they were in the navy but evidently not...Also the original jeans are based on Genoese sailors' trousers! That's why the original Levi's have such a strange crotch perhaps...
