ok so i dont like jlo but here's my main question. why NOW??? like why is she being chosen to do the calendar now? i wouldnt have liked it at ANY time but what i dont understand is why she wasnt asked when she was at the height of her career just a few years ago. her album just tanked...she hasnt done very many good movies in the past year (i'm using the term good loosely here... the wedding planner vs. gigli, one is something u can sit thru and maybe laugh at, the other is pure drivel) so why did they ask her to do it now? like who the hell cares about her right now?

I'm not a huge J-Lo fan, but I definitely don't think she's sick and/or nasty!

I have no problems with her doing the calendar. Regardless of how you feel about her singing, acting, dancing and/or "designing", it's pretty hard to deny that she's a beautiful woman with a "bodacious" bod as Travolta said. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, I guess, but I think she'll be a refreshing addition...

^exactly, i think saying she's nasty/ugly/etc is rather mean.

not a fan of her and i dont think she should be doing the calender just because she's so overexposed and pirelli girls are usually famous but not trashy celebrities like ms. lopez. just my point of view on this.

Model wise, i would love to see Natasha Poly. She takes great b&w pics ans she just has that sexiness, yet something so sweet and innocent about her

i'd love to see Nicole Ritchie but as much as i love her..i don't think she would really suit this calander :innocent:

I am not a fan of J.LO either but i think its refreshing to have a curvy woman in the star spotlights...I am sick of the skinny image type...i bet she will look amazing

Anyway, I had never seen the 2005 calendar fully and browsing through this thread seeing all the picture, I must say, wow. Slamming pictures of gorgeous models. I don't get why J-Lo is in this one either. Just let it be for beautiful models, not for big-bootied celebs...

jennifer Lopez has been named as the cover girl of next year's glamorous Pirelli calendar. . The beautiful star was snapped in steamy poses on the French Riviera for the calendar - which will be unveiled in Paris on November 18. Kate Moss will also feature - despite being dropped by other high-profile ad campaigns in the wake of her drug scandal. . The Italian tyre firm has claimed it didn't even consider dumping the supermodel from its prestigious 2006 calendar. . Julie Naylor, Pirelli UK's communications manager, told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "There was no chance that Kate would have been dropped from the calendar. We decided to stick with her because professionally she has always been great for us and a wonderful ambassador. What she does in her private life is no concern of ours." . However according to reports the firm had no choice about keeping 31-year-old Kate because the calendar - which features the stunning catwalk queen four times - had already been printed. .
