Prada Pre-Fall 2018 : Anok, Fran & Kris by Willy Vanderperre

Nice! And Kris looks stunning

What I don't like is the word Prada visible so many times.

Kris looks very beautiful and I like the contrast and crispness of the image, for once.

trash.

the only thing I want is Julia by Meisel for resort 2019. I can't understand why they didn't drop Willy.

I like the set design, at least something slightly different...

Still cannot understand why Prada and Steven Meisel parted ways. The brand has definitely lost my interest with these umpteen Willy Vanderperre campaigns, 365 nonsense and the only Vanderperre campaign I remotely took interest in was those accessories shots with Kris Grikaite for Resort 2018.

I do, however, like the look of this. Like those accessories shots from Resort 2018, I appreciate how clean and direct this looks. Don't have a problem with Kris cast AGAIN and those vibrant colours are just wonderful.

I came across this exact campaign in the new June issue of British Vogue, which is a full-length campaign shot featuring Anok Yai!

Miuccia should call Sasha and beg her to star in campaign. This brand feels so irrelevant nowadays...

That’s a lot of «*PRADA*» for one image. Are they afraid that we might not recognize what is the brand behind it?
I hate that collection and I don’t think that even a campaign will be able to sell it to me.

It’s maybe time to bring Meisel back. At least, he can bring back some interesting names into the equation.

I don’t even think people cares about Prada ads anymore.

It's not the model I have an issue with, it's Willy. While this is certainly better than average (for him), it looks very similar to his last campaign for Raf's namesake brand. Which yet again begs the question, why is he getting such a massive platform when he can't even set a distinct tone for each of his clients?

LOVE IT! Just this image makes me want to say this is one of my favorite Prada campaigns by Willy.

Amazing! Can't wait to see it.

Kris looks stunning as usual but again I can't appreciate this. Ever since Willy's arrival the Prada imagery suffers from an icy over-crispness that suffocates any projection of the soul. Every image looks like its been in a fridge for over a week and every face is dead. Not to mention I now notice the ghastly clothes which in my recollection has never been a problem with Meisel.

The clothes, the shows, the styling, the casting, the lack of vision, and now the campaigns... all so utterly forgettable now. ...:sigh:...

Kris is gorgeous, as always. She is so crazy beautiful.

The image itself has potential...I like the start white of the outfit and the bag against the dark purple background (could have done without the industrial shelving - the purple background is enough)...but the excessive logos and the stupid gimmicky tchotchkes on the bag are so obnoxious.

I know I've said in about every Prada thread recently...but I still cannot get over how God-awful these graphic logos are. Insanely ugly and clueless.

More Campaign Images:

A fantasy factory, a dream-like industrial panorama - a window into a different incarnation of the Prada woman. This facet of 365 exploring the Prada Pre-Fall 2018 womenswear collection envisages a hybrid of the functional and the feminine, models posed with classicism against unexpected, utilitarian backdrops, to create an arresting contemporary contrast.

Captured by Willy Vanderperre in the fictitious factory set of the ‘Prada Warehouse', these images play with the notion of the ‘manufactured’ - the created and the creative; the imagined and the imaginary; to make and to make-believe. This striking, heightened scenario, bathed in surreal, cinematic Technicolor - another expression of fantasy - is an interplay on the visual vocabulary of invention and reinvention. In these stills, the reality is found in the personas of the trio of models - Kris Grikaite, Fran Summers and Anok Yai - who people these shots and whose distinct personalities shine through the images.

In the background, crates and boxes bear emblems drawn from the Prada universe - hallmarks, markers and talismans, indicating their point of origin. They, like these clothes, express the indelible and immediately-recognisable identity of Prada.

They shooted right after the show in thirty minutes.

Meisel ego is delighted.

Fran getting all these campaigns is beyond me, she's awful.

I like that first shot of Kris, mainly because of her lol. The rest is meh

I love Kris' first shot and Anok is once again clearly the star here. She's just too stunning. I love both of her shots!
Fran is by far the weakest link. To think I used to love her when she first came to the scene. Now I'm actually seeing she's not that special looking.
