Prada Resort 2018 Milan

A very "on trend" collection with a lot of Prada´s classic elements. A watered down greatest hits. I love the color palete!

A hand full of individual cool and wearable pieces but overall a pretty sloppy collection.
Really is a watered down, and frankly lazy, collection from Prada this time.

I liked the palette and the socks. Nice to see James Jean returning to do some more prints following that S/S 2008 collection.

Safe collection, I could live without it honestly.

worst collection she's ever done imo

I like this collection, love the David Hamilton's pastel-y color palette

It's okay?? It's a big mix of spring 2008, 2010, 2015 and 2017 plus a bit of miu miu spring 20101 and 2014. I liked individual elements of it (those heels+socks are tdf!) but together it felt a bit like the latest givenchy retrospective collection but done in pastels instead of reds.

Season after season, it's getting very difficult to enjoy Prada. I don't think she is losing it because i see actually some new ideas in this collection but it's another underwhelming collection.
I've always been a fan of Prada and until some few seasons ago, the pre-collections were great. Most of my Prada RTW is actually resort/Prefall.

Now, everything is under that messy-styling-"i want to hide something-stuff. The sneakers are great, some pieces are interesting but i wonder how this is going to make people want to go to the Prada store.
Their stores are empty and a part from fashion people (students, editors) and maybe some socialite and bourgeoisie, no one is checking for their stuff.

Add to that the fact that the majority of the clothes shown on the runway are not available in stores and can only be purchased through orders, i wonder what is their strategy.

Everything is becoming more blurred at Prada: The 360 marketing strategy, they are selling some rtw only but we can't really say that it's buzzing hard. There's a disconnect that is more and more apparent between the brand image and the reality and i think that by doing this kind of pretentious collections, they don't help their business.

I hope the menswear will be better.

I've seen much much worse from her to be honest.. just pure, status-centered "must-have" garbage that functions exclusively like a costume.. that's what her main collections have mostly looked like for the past 10 years.

I find this charming even if it looks like a bunch of pieces that didn't make the cut in their time.. I like the unapologetically girlie aesthetic and shiny touches, a bit reminiscent of Gaspard Yurkievich/Alexandre Matthieu circa mid 00s.. and despite how some of it falls into 'frail' territory, many of these garments lack an expiration date, which is good. Also the girls all look lovely.

Good collection but feel like very "deja vu". I was such a fan of Prada, waiting like crazy every show. I feel like she mostly needs a new team. Shaking everything up, having new points of view, new perspectives.

The fact that she lost her right hand and bff , Manuela Pavesi, has a lot to do as well imo :(

Not impressed by this, no substance, a lookbook would have been better.

She's on auto-pilot right down to her model choices, in summary: watered down and forgettable.

a lot of stunning pieces, wonderful colours, i will never get tired of her socks and sandal combo

it isn't very "forward" though which is the only reason why i am not obsessed with it :(

I am in love.

One of the best resort collection I have seen in years imo... I just enjoy the technical side of the pieces but those models are not turned into predictable sporty/robotic characters. There is something highly fresh and romantic about it.

It's true to the Prada essence. Polyester, layering, quirky elements, weird shoes and it mixes strong elements from the past collections ( shoulders from FW13, collars from AW09, skirts from SS12 etc). Everything is really wearable, fresh, light but not boring. For a resort collection, I could not dream of a better proposition.

I think it's a stunning and very fresh and light collection, gorgeous colours.

I understand why people call it "watered down" but I feel like that applies to so many collections, if not almost any collection, these days.
